everythings aftermarket, mix 'n' matched. sony HU, sony by nines, and alpine type s by nines. everything's 4 ohms.
can i series parallel them?
youve only got 4 speakers and 2 channels. you can either series them to get and 8 ohm load and decrease power output. or parallel with minimal power increase and a possible blown h/u next week.
i would stick with just one pair and leave it.
what is bein powered by the other 2 channels of the h/u

almost every head unit ive every pulled out was rated at 4
my bad i typed wrong. i meant arent
Fixed

if you just add them on to the set thats already there. youll be bringing the impedance down to 2 ohms. h/u's "arent" rated for 2 ohm stability. you could run into over heating problems

here,click the link
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps_pages.php?page_id=30
That must only work for JL amps. i tried it on my sundown. I got that i needed 55 volts to get 3000rms at 1 ohm so i set it to that, but when i hooked the sub up and tested again my DMM went up closer to 80 volts. All that was changed was the sub was hooked up. same tone, same volume.

well it just turned midnight here, and nothings goin wrong with my comp yet

I think this is it, the conficker worm
http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/.../conficker.mspx
theres also a spot on the site to scan your comp for it. but we did a few computer at my house and it took 4 hours+ to do it all
-
i know it some worm thats already in tons of computers. but it activates tonight.
I think you can to do microsoft.com and find out info about it

that happens to me when i click on youtube vids from the forum. but refreshin usually helps for me

remote wire doesn't show the voltage of the main power wire
-Drew
Its just to turn the display on
-
+ on the display to a 12 source, fuse it if you directly to the battery
- on the display to the ground
and turn on wire to your ignitions wire. you can splice into the ignition wire going to your h/u

i have the mid on like -4. im not using an amp on them. ive heard of putting dynamat behind them in the door helps out. should i try this?
mine were bad until i added some polyfill
-
Mine just showed up today. I think PE is sold out of them now
nvm. i looks like they have more now
-
what type of electrical you running?
200 amp alt and 2 kinetik 1800s, for this vid i only had one batt in.
2 kinetik 2400s just showed up at my door today

Give it a whirl on like 30hz hah.
30hz is louder but not as much hairtrick. it peaks at 41 hz in the car
15hz - 22hz were my best hairtrick frequecies
You are my hero man!!!!One of my goals is to do a good hairtrick with my car.
Thanks
im having better luck with real low tuning.
-
nice hair trick makes me want to try to do one with my system! you sure thats just 1 15?
Just one 15, i got another on sittin here next to me, for my second hairtrick.hah
youd be suprised what single sub setups can do..to OP nice vid!!! do u ever find that the cone on that heats up pretty quick? I had a TC-3000 pretty much ame thing and that cone absorbs alotta heat..
Mine does heat up some, after playing full tilt for a while, but never hot hot. But I think thats what its suppose to do, the cone is like a heatsink for it. Thats wat the Audiopulse site says about it.
Ive got a temp gun somewhere. ill have to see what temp it gets up to.
-
Sweet nice first hair trick bro.
Thanks, I may have an even better one this summer. another axis and another sundown :hairtrick:

It's like that for a reason.
why? Is it two boards internally bridged?
-
Mine just showed up today. I think PE is sold out of them now

Seems like a not so smart amp design, you could do a run of 0 gauge to the amp fuse the 0 gauge. then use a distro block to make it into 2 4 gauge wires
-
with all 8 subs youll end up with a final load of 1 ohm.
-
Dumb question, but how is Fi read. Ive always called it F.I. but i saw a vid on youtube a little bit ago and they called it "phi". Which is right?
-
good deal.
you should definately be in the 50's
-
i think thats to big, i dont know how your fitting that in a tahoe
i think he meant 100 sq inches, which is still kinda low. maybe 120sq in
Two Speakers, One Channel
in Mid's and highs

to add more to that. the lower power wont hurt the speakers. but turning up every settin on the deck, and the volume knob up all the way to get louder will cause a big clipped signal to get thrown at the speakers and cause over heating up to thermal failure
