Well its probably that camera since I had to adjust the volume with my editor to make it louder or you wouldn't be able to hear anything. I'll do some adjusting tomorrow. everything else is stock cept for the deck. EDIT: And yes that box is a pre-fab and I have some measurements already but I'm still trying to find a good one to go with.

Got a Sony cdx-gt23w and was wondering what would be the max volume that I could safely go? I do not have a oscope or I would test it myself I got the volume at 25 right now.

Wired down to 2 ohms so the amp does 500w at 2 ohms and 1 ohm does 621? I believe it was rated.

I believe my problem wasn't with my amp but with the way I had it setup with my PC. I hooked it all up in my brothers car and it's better than ever! I think it's going to stay in there now LOL! I grounded the amp to the strut tower is that fine?

Took the 12"s out for him and going to re-do his ground since I believe that is what's causing the distortion.

I've probably made like 3 threads for my friend, I'm really getting aggravated at his setup... He has a RockFord Fosgate Punch 500/1 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_19556_Rockford+Fosgate+Punch+P500-1BD.html He has 2 15"s and 2 12"s hooked up and they sound amazing when they are working right... When I gain his amp there is distortion everywhere when I get to the level I want. It was working fine after I fixed what the dealer did such as MAX THE GAIN OUT AND SAY IT WAS BREAKING IN LOLOL I tried every setting on the deck as possible and still can't figure it out. The rockford tech responded and he also said it seems that there is a problem with the internal crossover. So I responded, so lets wait! EDIT: Response (Steve) 10/13/2010 04:10 PM That is very strange, the built in crossover is already set to LP. Even if you have the crossover set at 60-70Hz you shouldn't hear any voice. Based on the information provided the issue is pointing to a problem with the internal crossover, haven't really seen it before but that is what it is looking like.

Yeah I just realized why I had the gain turned down so low... When the lows hit it would just sound god awful the bad kind of awful. EDIT: I sent a ticket into rockford about the crossover, maybe they will do something for me.

My brother has a sony deck, I'm not for sure what model but I could test it with that.
