    damn, sry bout ur 8's man, what u think is a good freq level for 8's set for midbass?

    i was thinking around 80-100 or so, n turn my mids down to 100-200 and tweets 200+

    im goin active cause my kickers xovers are pritty much shit now from being in my doors for 2yrs but anywho

    what kinda amp u have runnin ur 8's off of?

    Well when i get my system together i will be running active to. My xover points will be 80, 200, and 3K.

    oh my bad for some reason I was thinking Put On Mega C&S.

    if it was only 3 hz below tuning it shouldn't have messed them up that bad.

    is your amp oscoped?

    No it just straight off the ipod like when you herd it

    i forgot to put this in the first post when they where at 8Ω each 8 was getting about 185W. and when they where at 2Ω each 8 was getting about 400W

    Well heres the story. Me and my dad where discussing whether an amp actually has more power at less ohms. So i told him i would test it to prove my point. Anyway today i had some time so i decided to do the testing. So your probably trying to figure out what any of this has to do with the sundown section. Well i used my E8s to do the testing. I wired them to 8Ω and played a few songs then i wired them to 2Ω and played a few more. I noted that the sound level was about the same. SO i decided to hit the knob and see what it could do. I turned the knob and nothing happened. I then traced the cord back to the amp only to find that it was unplugged. Well i plugged the knob back in right as the low note of "put on" hit. Only to find out that the knob was all the way up. instantly i here both 8s max out then one stops moving and the other moves intermittently. So i shut the amp off and pull both the 8s. (note: neither 8 was remotely warm) At first glance they appear to be fine so i look a bit closer. the bottom of both VC frames got smashed one to the point it stopped moving and the other just enough to make some noise when you push on it. Both spiders came unglued from the VCs. and one of the tinsel leads got ripped clean off from the cone.

    Any comments or ideas on what i should do will be greatly appreciated.
