  1. Ok I have a 2010 Camaro I'm going to put some subs in. I have the upgraded Boston Acoustics factory stereo, but I want a little more bass than it gives me. Since the system is all Boston Acoustic I'm going to stick with BA for the subs as well. I'm going to put 2 BA G3 10in subs in. Here are the specs.

I'm new to this and I'm stuck on the amp I'm going to need. I want to go with Rockford Fosgate. These are putting out 375 RMS and 750 max watts and that's going to be x2. A friend of mine said to go with a Class D amp? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

You could use the T1000-1bd or you cant get a T500-1bd or the P500-1bd if your woofers are gonna be wired to 1ohm or you can get the R500-1 if they're gonna be wired to 2ohms. I'm suggesting those since most of us know that Rockford equipment is way underrated so those might be just the amount of power you need.

  2. damn steve... i didn't know it was that hard to get in touch with them... i know there is a kumho distrobution center next to the school i went to (UTI) in rancho cucamunga california... but it's up to the op to try to get a hold of some one i guess.... if i were you i'd try to get some of the ones meade has :) so you don't run into this again

I might try to get a hold of them, but I'm not sure because I've been looking at Pirelli tires for a while now but I didn't want to spend the money since I didn't need to, but now I do.

So if I don't talk to Kumho I'm gonna try to get some info and prices on the tire's Steve got, the Scorpions I think, and the P-Zero Nero's.

kumoh tires are even that bad u wana see my gash in my tires and it dont even leak any air been rolling ofr 6kmiles on it

What tire's are you running? And damn I really don't think that's safe.

EDIT: never mind, I saw your pictures, and DAMN that looks bad.

  3. how long ago did you get them? you can tell what date they were made by looking at the DOT number on the side of the tire... it would be the last 4 numbers something like 3508 meaning 35th week of 08 was when it was made.. then you could call um kumho and tell them you got how ever many miles on them and they're falling apart... and make sure you tell them you always had the correct amount of air pressure in them. and you have it checked weekly... they might be nice and replace the tire... or prorate it.. i've seen it done before... did you get the road hazard warrantee on the tire... if you pay the extra 10 bucks each tire of whatever... if anything happens like this... which is a defect... they would warrantee the tire for free.... that's one warrantee i always buy

Well I bought my car how it is so I don't know if the previous owner bought that extra warranty, but I guess I could still try giving them a call then.

sorry for jinxing you :D i would get rid of those kumhos as fast as possible, those things SUCK. Get the pirellis and not only will they HOPEFULLY not do this (crack and split), but the ride will be NOTICABLY better!!! Sorry to say im glad to see your pics but i am because it shows that its not just me :D Oh and no, its not from using tire shine, thats such bullshit (heard it a few times).....just like you said, if thats the case then why is the INSIDE as bad as the OUTSIDE? Anyway good luck and get the P-Zero's!! the price is the same so no worries there.

rolling on 24's or 26's? If not, you dont know. If so, you will find out soon enough.

same thing bro, unless you are on 24's or 6's, you wont know - i cant speak on 22's and lower........and i didnt own my 23's long enough to experience the problem but id bet my last dollar they would have failed too. Anyway, if you DO own 24's or 6's and you had 35lbs in them, you are underinflating them. These tires take 50psi.

HAHA, it's all good Steve. That just makes 2 of us on here with the same problem with Kumho tires. IIRC you got the Pirelli Scorpion tires didn't you? What's the difference between those and the P-Zero's?

And just thowing it out there but about running tires under 24's, I think it's a whole lot easier to do it, because on these thinner tires you acctually have to check them like every week because it's not like the bigger tire where you can tell right away when it's slightly under inflated.

  4. i used to sell tires at a few places... and i've seen nothing but bad things happen to the low pro kumhos... the "regular" style kumhos don't seem to do that though... i've had a set of 17s from them... i drove em till they were bald

Since you we're in the business, what do you think I should do, try to talk to someone at Kumho or just buy some new tires?

Honestly what it looks like there cause of low tire pressure look at how low your tire is in this picture looks really low thats is usally the main cause of cracks i learned this the hard way as well.. now i check my tire presurre either once a week or ever 2 week and keep them around 35 PSI since then never have had a problem/.......

Actually none of my tires are ususally under or over inflated. I think that tire is like that because of the cracks, that's why I'm gonna take that rim off the car so my tire wont go completely flat and damage my rim.

  5. Yeah, it's pretty bad.

So now I have another little stepping stone in the way of my system, cuz I think I'm switching to Pirelli if I don't get this fixed with Kumho.

I've been looking at the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's, but they're kind of picey, but worth it.

And I have no idea how it happened either, because I keep my tires with the right air/tire pressure and they are getting moisture or anything for them to have slightly rotted or anything, and it couldn't have been someone slashing my tires because the car is in my garage.

And the thing that confuses me the most is that the 2 tears are on the inside part of the tire.

  6. You could see the water show thing at the Bellagio.

The Freemont st. thing (not all that great but it's alright to see)

And there's a couple car museums with some real nice cars, but I just can't remember the names or where they're at.

And if you're over 21, there's a couple of strip clubs on the Freemont st. thing.

And if you're under 21 there's a couple of clubs that are for 18+.
