Yeah many ppl here say capacitors suck. But why cust. service adviced it? They are top 1 cust service.
So you say I have to buy more powerful battery or add another one just for stereo? I have a good one that came with the car, don't really want just throw it away
Yeah, prices are very high, that's why most of the people with Term-Lab meters are shop owners or people that hold comps cuz that way they get some if not all their money back eventually.
A lot of places still suggest capacitor, I don't know why, maybe they're more affordable or something, I don't know though. But on here most people would go for another battery over a capacitor any day.
And if your stock battery is pretty good then you may be able to just do a BIG 3 and you'll be fine, if not then you could add another battery so you wont need to just get rid of your stock one.

BTW i have a few laptops (well computers is a part of my job) and i saw a guy used his laptop to mesure dBs. What soft and mic. did he use? And do i need any particular sound card or my stock will be ok?Little help?
I've talked to customer service at Crutchfield about this install and say said I may not install any additional crap in the car like batts and alts but they strongly recomended to make big 3 and install at least 2 farad capacitor.
So the questions are 1) what made is better and 2) what really is the difference between CAPACITOR and BATTERY? They both are power accumulators. What's the difference?
To answer the first post, it was most likely a Term Lab meter (you can buy on at termlab.com)
And the second post, most people would say to use another battery, since a capacitor needs has a lot of factors that influence whether it work the way it's suppose to or not.

Are they SR's or SRx's...because there is a huge quality difference.... couple years back buddy of mine i had a SR 15" clamped on 1,000 watts....everything went fine.....so i got my wife a new SRx 15"...chunked about 760 watts at it..held up fine for about 2 weeks...then coil rub.....then death...i mean they are rated at 300 watts but still......and that's my comparison! Enjoy!
On the for sale thread it just said SR.

run the hifonics over the sony, and just be careful with it set the gains accordingly and you should be fine.
That's the answer I was hopeing for, poor sony gets to collect more dust.
But about the gain, what was the tool needed to set them, cuz I've beed doing it the old "it sounds good way" but being on this site kind of hinted that it wasn't a good idea to do it that was.

it will do good for the SR's maybe they will be over powered by a lil but with a nice ported box the will handle it..
the SR's are 300rms and 600peak so..

Well I have another amp laying around here, its a Sony Xplod XM-ZR1852....I'm not the biggest fan of that brand, that's why its just been collecting dust since I got it (trade) but would that be a better option?
I don't know what its rated at but it says 1000W on it, don't know if that's max or rms.

Its just that you get use to it.
I thought that too but there's times where I use two different cologns so I got to switch each day and the smell didn't really stop.

Mayweather wasn't running he was BOXING, real boxing, not the FIGHTING that other do in the ring now a days. He went back to the traditional get in give a good 1-2 combo and get out.
And I mean he landed 59% of his punches compared to Marquez's 12% or so....so that must mean Mayweather was doing something right.
BUT, I thought Marquez could have put on a better fight.

Paid my Tahoe off today! $33,000 later, Its officially mine! Yes i know, they are cheaper now but ive had mine since 2002 when it was barely a year old. Had it for a year and a half and combined loans to get another vehicle (our old ford) so thats why my loan was extended...... but anyway, its over now!
