  1. I like aquaphor. I use it for the first 2 or 3 days then switch to Curel.

A tattoo can take several weeks to heal. Every tattoo can react differently in the healing process. If you are concerned see a doctor.

We use aquaphor through the whole healing process.

And it's looking like it's normal so I think I'll have her wait a few more days to see if it starts getting better before a doctor visit.

Added a new pic, wasn't as clear as I expected though.

  2. This one looks kind of different though, need Photobucket to start working again cuz the zoomed in one showed a little more.

the whole rest of the tattoo went through the whole healing process already. It's just this spot thats like that. Does seem like a scab though, but it's like a real thick, hard scab. She (it's on my GF not me, forgot to mention that) says that area is still in pain, it hurts to barely even touch it.

What made me start this thread was cuz this is like her 10th tatt, I have 3 and this is the 1st one to get like this so we got a bit worried.

  3. Update: Let it dry out over night. Went out to my truck this morning, leaned it out a bit and it started right up on the first turn!

I messed with the idle so it sits at about 800 now.

I let it idle for about 5 min and then put it in drive, bogged down and then died without even moving. Tried to start it again, nothing. Acting like its flooded again.

I noticed I have 2 other tuning screws that are on the sides of the fuel bowl. These 2 are completely lean. Like tight all the way, where should they be?

Those 2 are gonna be your problem solvers.

those are the air & fuel adjustment screws.

  4. Rule #5 welcome to SMD where members post dump on threads while no knowledge of topic

And really, how the fuck do you know? I myself was sued for copyright infringement a couple years ago, and beat the case. So no, I have no clue.

So since you've been in a situation like the OP why not help instead of being a dick?

Damn SMD is changing slowly. Good thing the helpful members outnumber the asshole members.

  5. Each batt will pull between 10 and 50 amps of charging current depending on good they are and if they are fully charged or not.

If your alt makes lets say 75 amps at idle and you have 4 batteries... your voltage may be in the 12's with the car running at idle. You may or may not have a problem with the batteries.. do like you said and charge them all and have them load tested to make sure. If all else fails get an alt that has better output at idle.

I would hope it does more than that at idle. It's a 250a alt. Never got the idle output though.

But yeah I'm still gonna charge and check the battery.

  6. Sounds like what he said... when you put it in drive and sit there your rpms are too low for the alt to turn on...

If it just started doing this but didnt before... One of two things.. Either your rectifier is going out or you have some batteries pulling more current than they used to before. Like they are going bad or need to be charged overnite.

What could cause the rectifier to go out? Especially this fast, it's only been about a year and the car gets used like 1 a month if that.

I already tried having the batts on a charger over night, I'll try it again though.

Usually bad or weak batteries... or very poor connections.

Check your battery resting voltage after you charge them overnite. Check them every 3 hours or so and see how they hold the charge.

I'll check that. 2amp charge overnight for the batts right?

  7. Bakersfield this time around, somewhere new. Carmel was fun but way too expensive and not a lot of work available.

I hope you still stay on forums here even if its a new account, you are very knoeledgable and have helped alotbof memebers. Best of luck to you and what dreams you are pursuing.

I'm going to create my own SN once I get to CA, I'll still be willing to help everyone I can and might just need some help too with my next build.

    :(

That should be the other way around!

:( is right... Eric was super helpful in getting me my custom alt pulley for my setup.

Nonetheless, good luck and I wish you the best! :drink40:

    Thanks!

You will be missed. Your a great guy and you have always been helpful

    Thanks!

The others here will be willing to help with any of your common or unusual needs. And if they can't figure it out I am still willing to help. I just need to get the truck loaded and out to CA before I can invest any real time on the forums.

    Bakersfield?!?!

That's like next door to me. Well more like 30 miles away but close enough. Haha

And if you need help with your builds feel free to ask, a few of us Flex Issues guys either live in or pretty close to Bakersfield.

Pretty close! I'm going to be right off White Lane, pretty close to 99. My next build is going to be a small one for my DD, then I will move on to my Corvair. Still haven't figured out that one, but I guess I have nothing but time!

are we gonna see you around the local comps? in bakersfeild?

I'll be around for sure, just not competing. I don't have the funds or time to build a comp quality vehicle right now, and I can't lose the trunk in the DD.

But you will for sure see me around Bakersfield.

Well if you need help with the move feel free to ask, I'm in Bakersfield pretty often.

and we'll be looking forward to seeing you at comps, even if it's just to spectate.
