well hes not over powering them, i dont know where you get that from those type r's should be just fine on that amp. you could be clipping them. howd you set your gains? turn bass bost off and set you eq's to flat. then o-scope everything to make sure its not clipped. hows your voltage?

your impedence will rise as you play, everytime the sub moves it changes a little bit and somebody correct me if im wrong a smaller box will have more rise. also slow roll your volume untill its playing dont just crank it right away. i would just get a second amp and wire both to 1 ohm though
