Thanks guys, but I have yet to actually clamp the amp to see how much it's actually giving the sub...but it'll drive the living crap out of it and still have room for more power
-
My subs put out power.
You mean the Kicker L8's?!
...137% efficient!
-
If the guy really told you that the sub would put out 'X' power..I wouldn't trust a thing he said

Hey guys,
Pretty sure I posted this in my build log, but that got effed by photobucket bandwidth I believe and ugh...so here's a quick vid of things in action, it was turned up a good bit but wasnt quite full power for sure (equipment for setup in sig, the song was 'Young Jeezy - Burnin Up')...enjoy

I'm not very good with sketchup, I know what I want done though. Can anyone who has some good experience with the program please PM me so I can get this done lol. I'll pay whatever the cost is.
Check out the tutorial I just posted up...it'll help and walk you through every step of an enclosur eon sketch-up

Thanks
It gets the job done
It was plenty of work...but it's worth it

here's an idea..
If youre lucky enough to have some sort of sideskirt panel on your car like mine...you can fit plenty of wire in them..
Power runs..
Ground runs..
And the sideskirt goes right over them...never would know theyre there..
As for connecting them all...you'll probably want to make/have someone make you some busbars, something along these lines..
And dont forget the fuses and fuse holders...once you step up to multiple runs in a daily driver...you'll need fuses on each end of your power runs (assuming you have batts in the rear), which really adds up in cost
But good luck...and you can find copper for busbars at stormcopper.com ....they have a great selection and good prices imo
Drilling holes in the copper and then tapping them will make life really easy on you rather than bolting the ring terminals to the copper...just have to find some short bolts/cut down some bolts and youre set

2 spiders for 2kw+ rms? Hmmm. Hopefully they last.
People have around 4k rms daily without issues...and 10k burps...im pretty sure they'll last
-
thanks, but it'll be a while before I sart the build
