  1. SPECIFICATIONS OF D2 Coil (D4 will be similar) :

    RE: 3.28 ohms (series)

    FS: 41.6 Hz

    Qes: 0.513

    Qms: 6.606

    Qts: 0.476

    Le: 2.778 mH

    Vas: 3.285 L

    BL: 17.138 N/A

    Cms: 83.341 um/N

    Mms: 175.654 g

    Sens: 78.476 dB @ 1w/1m

    POWER: 400 RMS

    5.25" depth

8.25" overall basket OD (no gasket)

    7.375" cut-out diameter (without gasket)

    7.25" cut-out diameter (with gasket)

    6.25" magnet diameter

We suggest 0.6 - 1 cube ported tuned to 30-40 hz based on your goals and preferences.

Sealed can be utilized but is not optimal for these drivers.

we need displacement????not theile small parameters....

  2. That can easily vary 10 dB by enclosure, vehicle, etc... hard to say, honestly.

i want a solid deep sound im willing to lose some volume for better impacct..my xl just loud and beefy maybe to much for my daily..ill build what is needed 2 reach my goals...whats a good design for 2 on 1k to get a decent grumble and good overall sound..in ur opinion of course..

  3. I bagged my 2001 crown vic on 24"s, f/b/s/s everything and did it with 2 5 gallons and 2 Viair 480's.

Well after a week one of the leader hoses (metal braided hose from compressor to tank) started leaking for the compressors and I replaced it. Then the other compressor just stopped working, not making any noise or pumping air. After a couple hits with a hammer (lol yes I know, I was stuck tho) it finally started working.

Well now last week (after being bagged for 1 month 1 week) another one of my leader hoses blew on the other compressor. And now that its at the shop we took the filters off both the compressors and neither of them are sucking in air and the front of the car wont go over 70lbs.

Well now the car is still sitting in the shop while we are figuring out what we are going to do. At the moment they are installing my 2 DC LVL 5 18"s and 2 PB XTA-5000s and I am adding 2 more Viair 480s to have a total of 4, 2 on each 5 gallon.

Does anyone know why these compressors would do this? Also does anyone have any recommendations on different compressors?

Personally I think they just overheated and got overworked. We will see what Viair says Monday to see what they are going to say about the warranty...

wiring w a relay and good pressure will also do it and voltage.and if u tell viair that u had there switch and relay they will rebuild them just make sure u say u have a viair pressure switch..and car has to bn runnin they dont like voltage drops..

  4. I personally like the box volume you are currently using. 1.7 cubes i have had very good results with single 12s in daily boxes.

Time for a story..... lol Back 5 years ago i ran a single DD 9512 box was 1.7 cubes with a single 6" aero. Clamped power on the sub was 1700 watts, and it would burp 148.8, sounded good too.

So if you are looking for power look at something around 1500 watts.

wete can i get a 6 inch aero and how long would it b 1.75 at 32..?

  5. i wasnt bein a smart ass i have a custom box in a custom place the volume i have is the i got did the number and 2 4inch aeros are like 24 inches long i dont have that and a 6 inch would be longer.i did my port calculator on 1.75 internal tuned to 32 its sounds pretty good sealed.so i may go that route but i do appreciate ur input

or maybe go w a lvl 3 12 insteads so rms is closer i can scope my gains to get it right..

  6. [/quote i dont have rom for that porting i guess ill seal it up thanks alot.

If you do not have room 4 a bigger box or dual 4 inch aeros then go with more power I was just trying to suggest the cheapest way out 4 you .I have installed a couple of those amps and they are goodamps it will put out a 1000 watts with less than idea electrical upgrades so it ain't no slouch.

  7. Ok quick lesson here we go with that same amp I can blow a level5 or without clipping in the right box with thesubsonic set right I can bump 20000 watts 2 it it all depends on the install if you are just using it daily I would keep that amp but toss that boxand build yourself a more efficient box which would be like doubling or trippling the power try around 2.5 or3 cubic ft with about 48 square inches of port tuned to 32 hertz set the gains properly and make sure you set your subsonic to 32 hertz and you will not need any more power than you have now.

so that size nots efficient enough its speced 2.5 seems huge????.and i use round ports

  8. im gonna chime in here i think if the 15 was powered well in a good box it would b real close to 2 lv3 12 .i have a lvl3 15 and when it gets to about 1k in power it has some cone control issues so i have to plug ports to regain the cone control.that xl is much stronger and stiffer and wll give more control along a much larger power range ..i still would go xl and a single woofer ..and like previously stated go 18 if u can..

  9. just one 18" dc lvl4 right now i have a crunch pzi1000.1 and i was also looking at the Crunch GPV2000.1 but still dont know. thanz for the replys but i probaly will go with the sundown, aq, or audiopipe

stay away from the crunch. go with sundown or dc...audioque are tough too
