lol what i meant to say was a distribution block. my bad. well the biggest wire i could use is 4 cause 0 gauge wont go into the amp.

so i am going to wire my p1000bd to my car. it accepts up to 4 gauge wire. i am going to wire the front battery to a fuse holder before the amp with 0 gauge. after the fuse holder, i am going to connect 4 gauge into the amp. my question is should i just ground my amp with 4 gauge? or do i need like a fuse block that will go from 4 gauge to 0 gauge and then ground it? thanks

finding out what your voltage drop is would be your best place to start. It would tell you how much of an improvement is needed.
After that then you can decide if you need a second battery or bigger front battery ect......

You should look at the bolt pattern and plug size & shape. If your alternator doesn't look like these then it won't bolt on. If anyone needs more pics I'll be glad to post up more.

for the 3g alt what size engine in your explorer? im wondering if it will fit on my 4.6 L expedition?
What are the requirements you need for it to fit? cause i also have an expedition 4.6L and was wondering what needs to match? is it the size of the engine that determines what alt fits/works?

i like this idea. I may go this way. and thanks guys for all the input. Its seems like the i have to ground it with 0/1 gauge no matter what. But if these plugs work, then i wont need any dist blocks. i would use all 0 gauge wire and just use the plugs for the amp connections. (correct me if im wrong).
