Planning to move all my old stereo stuff into it from the pathfinder. I gotta get new speakers for the doors and rear. But my old woofer box wont fit into the back So I've decided to make a custom box just for this car that will have the port going into the passenger area of the car. And should the woofers face toward the front or the back? -

Today I found out that I have a chance to trade in my '95 pathfinder for a 2000 Accord. Think I should do it? The only draw back is that I'll have to reinstall everything into the Accord. But I need the better gas mileage of the Accord since I'll be going to college in another town and I will be commuting there everyday. Have any of you ever had any major problems with an Accord or just some to mention?

The name is Bastian Crocker. From Jefferson City, Missouri. Started car audio when I turned 16 and got my first license. Been bumpin ever since. -
How was everyone's 4th of July? Anyone have pics of some cool fireworks? I left my camera at home.

LOL. Ok I'll have pics up later tonight when my camera gets back to me. I made the spades into more of a square ring terminal because they dont shake loose. Got my amp installed back in so the pics will be off them all wired up. Amp still doesnt work though if any of you read some of my previous posts. I'm thinking something went wrong with the internal fuse holder on it.

I forgot to order some spade terminals with my wire and the wire itself wont fit into the power input on my amp. I have some aluminum sheets laying around that i would think would be the perfect thickness to make my own spade terminal. Would it be a good idea to go ahead and make them out of the aluminum? Im only making two, one for the power and one for the ground connections on the amp.

Stolen

the tazer is pretty much a piece of aluminum tape under the door handle with 2 wires hooked to it. Its not powerful enough to hurt someone, just make them jump their hand back, kinda feels like when you put a 9v battery to your tongue. but if u think they could press charges than ill go ahead and take it off. -

Oh I'm plenty ready. Leaving it unlocked for the next month with a tazer hooked up under each handle that I can turn on and off with a switch underneath the car. I also decided to make a video camera to stay on all night and stream to my computer. So we'll see what happens. Hopefully I'll catch them soon. -
Apparently someone "broke" into my truck last night. When I woke up I went out to my truck like normal to go buy a drink from the gas station. I open my door and noticed that it wasn't closed all the way, like someone just lightly pushed it. So from that moment I knew something was wrong. I looked around to see if anything was missing. My head unit was still there along with the flash-drive that was plugged into it, my amp and sub where still there to. I looked down to turn on my Zune because I use that for music and it wasn't there. Thought "oh maybe i put it in the center console.." nope. And my gps which I keep in there was gone as well with it. My doors were locked last night. My bro's car was also stolen from. Just decided to post that. figured you guys would like to read about something like this. Come next month I'm installing camera's on my house.

Amp wont turn on
blcrocker replied to blcrocker's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
Alright so i took a volt meter to it to check what wires were getting voltage and not. The pos and neg read 14.2v while the truck was on. At first when i checked the remote it wasn't even reading out on the meter. Than i checked it a second time and the amp turned on and started working. I dont really understand how/ why it started working when i hadnt even done anything but tested the volts. I think somehow it just needed a small jump between the remote and ground. But it's all working again. Thanks for the tips guys. -

Yeah, it's mounted on the back of the box with rubber grommets. That was something else i was thinking of, what if something came loose on the inside. But if that other trick doesnt work than I'm gonna take it apart and see whats wrong with it. -

So just stick a wire connecting the pos input to the remote input? -

Think it would be a good idea to check with a volt meter to see if there is voltage going through the wires, even the remote?
