  1. Well, took a few short vids of my Golf out behind an abandoned warehouse. Here ya go.... I'm running an Eclipse DA-6213 amp running a 15" Kicker L7 in a 4cu ft ported enclosure tuned to 32hz, Stock 90amp alternator (soon to be replaced with a 120amp version from a VR6), and gotta re-do the big 3. I added the bass knob recently so I don't have to fiddle with all the settings menus on my head unit. Hopefully I'll be adding more vids soon. Tell me what you guys think so far..
  2. if you use Firefox, there is an add-on on the firefox website to download videos straight from YouTube.
  3. I have a 15" L7 in my Golf. 4cu. ft. ported, tuned to 32hz. 33" x 16.5" x 21" Trunk space: Non-existent. I have about 2-1/2inches between the box and the rear of the hatch.
  4. There's an add-on for Firefox to do this with one click.
  5. Looks like it's that time of year already. 1 friend has his shit jacked saturday nite, guy I work with got some shit stolen out of his new honda after the punks couldnt get the wheels off. Good luck gettin back in the game.
  6. Getting tired of going into my settings to turn the bass up or down on certain songs. Needed by friday 7/17/09, will pay a bit extra for faster shipping. Something like this: Bass Knob Let me know what you got. If you need credentials, my ebay name is VwDriver97. I don't buy or sell much on there, but I do have 100% feedback.
  7. What kind of unit? (brand, model) Some models with GPS you can't override. Some others you need to do a "on-off-on-off" sequence with the parking brake.
  8. I'll be running 1 15" L7. For now I'm only maybe putting 500-1100 to it. I'm running it in 4ohms till I upgrade my alt. The amp I'm using is in my sig, the Eclipse one.
  9. from strut tower to strut tower I have 36.25" gonna aim for 35.75" so I have a tad bit of room from the back of my seat to the rear of the hatch is 30" and height is 17.5" but I was gonna make that about 17. When I used subwoofertools.com it came up with a ported box that was, I believe, 35.50" x 20" (not sure, but somewhere around that) x 17 I had a port tuning of 35hz, according to kicker specs.
  10. I just bought a 15" L7 off of my friend for $120. It's in a sealed enclosure but it seems like the enclosure is a tad too small, even tho it does slam. I wanted to make a 3cubic ft. ported enclosure for my 96 vw golf. I wanted to build it to Kicker specs, but I am working with limited room.
  11. I cant find bassbox pro and I don't understand that RE calculator. man, I really suck at this, don't I?
  12. Anyone know of an online program similar to subwoofertools.com? I was hoping to build my enclosure for my 15" L7 in my golf this weekend, but it seems subwoofertools.com is either being worked on, or it was taken down. I wish I had printed out those measurements, dammit.
  13. I have a set of these puppies in the dash of my 96 golf. They are the only speakers running off the HU. They're pretty ignorant enough that I've had to turn down the treble some. Got them at an audio trading place near me for $4 a piece new.
  14. pic of it an hour before that db run (the black one): Pic of it when I sold it:
  15. Hey guys, I'm new around these parts. Just thought I'd post a video of my old 85 golf with, you're gonna stab me, a full Sony Xplod system. The front speakers were Sony XS-W3521 Rear speakers were the older 2-way version of these: Sony XS's The amp pushing the fronts and rears was some bullshit Jensen amp I got for free from a display when I worked for pep boys. The subs were 2 XS L121P5's with a XM-1652z Went to a vw car show that ended up being rained out when we got there, so we invaded a near-by car show. Upon walking around I found a db drag booth that looked like they were gonna do some runs. I asked the guy are they running anything today, he replied "no, but we'll run yours for $10" Gladly I handed over the $10 and brought my car up. they set up their mic and away we went... DB run Blah. just wanted to share. Sorry you cant see the car, the dumbass with the camera didnt pan to the left. Needless to say, everything was stolen out of it a month later out back of my gf's house.
