7.1 cubic ft wall in a ford ranger for 2 cerwin vega vmax 15s with a ED nine.1 amp.

Thats what i thought. Well i guess some new FI 15s will be in the ranger shortly along with 2 ED nine.1 amps.

I just called CV, and the guy said that they do not have recones for the vmax subs. He said my only option would be to go to simplyspeaker.com and get like a replacement for it. Do yall think this is the same or should i invest in new subs?

Thanks guys. They hit pretty hard. I believe i can hit 150dbs with them. I hit 149 dbs with them in a wall tuned to 40 Hz and they should hit harder after reconing them.

I think im gona just keep my cerwin vega 15s and just recone them. They are dvc 4 ohm cerwin vega vmax 15s. Does anybody know where to get recone kits for them? I found out why they are smelling. The subs only have like 500 rms and im putting like 650-700 to each of them.

Well my 2 cerwin vega 15s are just not loud enough for me. I think they are about shot so its time to upgrade. Im looking for 2 15s that iare atleast 1000 watt rms. My wall is 7.1 cubes after port displacement so they must be able to fit in about 3.5 cubes each. Im looking for either FI 15s, memphis 15s, atomic 15s, dc 15s(level 4 or level 4 xl), or even Digital Design 15s. Im not worried about amps yet until i get the subs. I have a Elemental Design nine.1 amp now so would be willing to trade that also.Let me what you got. I dont wana spend a heck of a lot but want it loud.

How do the level 4s and the level 4 xls cost? Im looking at the 15s. im needing to upgrade my system when my tax return comes back.

Ok, thanks guys. Do you reckon i need to inevest in a better amp, like a SAZ 1500d or something so the subs get clean signal if i retune it and my current set up doesnt get any better?

Well its raining outside today, but when it clears up, ill try and tune it some more. I dont wana have to buy new subs, but if i do, im going big.

I do not have an oscope or a dmm. My bass boost is turned all the way down and my gain on the amp is halfway.

I have a Elemental Design nine.1. Its rated at 1200 watts at 1 ohm but people say it puts out more. For electrical, all i have is the big 3 upgrade, and 0 gauge from the battery to the amp and a stock alternator.

I have 2 cerwin vega vmax 15s. They are 600 rms and 1200 max. I have 1 Elemental Design nine.1 on them. This amp puts out 1200-1300 watts at 1 ohm so the subs are getting around 600-650 rms. I havent had these subs very long but i bought them used. When i got them, they sounded and good and were loud. I built 3 different boxes for them and my final box is a wall that is 7.1 cubic ft tuned at 33Hz. This is the box that hits highs, lows and mids really good. My question is, what are some of the signs of a speaker that is about to blow? My subs are starting to smell real bad after playing for about 5 minutes, and they are also getting quieter then they were when i first put them in the box. Also, they used to hit lows real good, but now when they hit low notes, the speaker moves a ton, but no noise comes out and it also sounds like they are bottoming out but they didnt do that before. Are my speakers about to be shot, or is there anything I can do to fix it? Ive tried to tune the amp, but they only get worse. Thanks PS: maybe time for some FI 15s or DC 15s. :hairtrick:

Well, ive decided on the FI BLs. For the amps, i will be getting another ED nine.1 so each speaker will have 1200 watts to it. For electrical, i will be getting 2 kinetik 800 batteries for the rear( unless yall have opinions for batteries around the same price range) and maybe an optima redtop upfront and i did the big 3 with 0 gauge stinger wire and i have 0 gauge wire running to the amp. What else for the electrical will i need?

O yea, thats definitely an increase. You should be in the 150s now. Im hoping to hit in the 150s when im done with my system.

I hope so. Im hitting around 145-146 now with my cerwn vegas. Im sure yours will do atleast 148-149.

Ok, thanks man. Mine will be kind of similar to yours but a little smaller. Mine is 7.1 cubic ft and im getting 2 fi bl 15s with 2 elemental design 1200s to push them.

How far is your wall from the floor of the truck? I made a sub floor that is like 4 inches from the floor bit i believe i am gona have to raise it up so i can fit the batteries under it.

Whenever my tax return comes back, im going to get rid of my cerwin vega 15s and get a new system. I want something good for daily driving and that will be LOUD. I was looking at the FI BLs and the Qs. They are both the same price and have the same rms. I am wanting to get 2 15s which ever i choose. I will be running 2 elemental design 1200s, one to each sub. I also done the big 3 with stinger 0 gauge wire and im getting 2 extra batteries, either stinger, kinetik or power master. Which subs would best fit my needs?

Thats freaking awesome. I have a wall in my ranger with 2 cerwin vega 15s. Its 7.1 cubic ft tuned to 33Hz. I am getting ready to get some new subs and i really like the DC level 4s and the xls. When i get all my money saved up, im prolly gona get the DCs and like 2 2500 watt amps or 1 big amp. Awesome build and it looks great. I would love to hear. I can almost do the hair trick with my wall and only a 1200 watt amp.

Right now, my dd has 2 cerwin vega 15s in a wall, a Elemental Design 1200d amp, crossfire 400 4channel amp with 0 gauge wire and a stinger spv35 battery in the rear. Soon, i am selling this system and get 2 memphis mojo 15s with 1-2 2500d amps and a h/o altenator for my dd.

Ill be there. I live like 2.5 hrs away from greenville. Idk if ima enter the competition yet because mine just aint loud enough. Im hitting 149 at 33Hz.
