thats always scary...i figure that if the caps are charged up when the circuit is complete, a short in it can jack em up easy, but now i figure a few hundred amps should not blow the cap, especially on a well built amp. lol i wish i got shocked instead of risking jacking up the amp #sacrifice yourself for your equipment

i was hooking up an amp today, while tightening the terminals on the amp, my allen wrenched touched the + and ground on the amp for a second making a huge spark (car was off). No fuses blew, amp still turns on just fine, no subs are hooked, is there any chance i still could have damaged anything? subs wont go in for a while so hope i wont see the problem once the subs are hooked up and the amp has a load on it (amp is a sundown 4.5k).

Currently, im running 2 sundown nightshade v2s at 2 ohms strapped on 2 saz 2500s and seeing voltage drops in the mid/upper 12s. With issues regarding lack of space and my slave amp going into protect, i am going to go the route on getting a sundown 4500 and run it at .5 ohms daily (going to run 1 2500 at .5 daily for now). My electricals are 1 optima yellowtop up front with big 3, 2 runs of 0 gauge power, 2 xs power d3100s in the rear and a excessive amperage 200 amp alternator. If anything, i plan on getting a dc power 270 xp in the near future, but just wanted some opinions or experiences on running any amp at .5 ohms

i think i fixed it but not sure if i did it right. Now i got all 4 rcas going to amp 1 with pass thru going to the front channels only on amp 2. I have every channel on amp 1 at 2 ohms, i got the front channels on amp 2 at 2 ohms, but i have no rear connections on amp 2 and now all the channels are working perfect and its a lot louder. My guess is that when i left the rear left with no input on amp 1 and no input on the rear right on amp 2, it didnt allow the signal to pass thru, now its just passing the front channels through which is all i need, hope its right.
