well, then you can stick with the yellowtop as the main battery, and a kinetic hc1400, then u should be fine
-
then how is it that a local shop's ford excursion with 3k watts always drops below 6 with 2 capacitors, 1 kinetic battery, and the 70 amp alt? Upgraded to a 150 amp alternator, then it stays around 14.2
-
I would have to say that wont be enough. The amp is rated 2000 watts at 12 volts, if you want to get the max out of this amp, probably around 2500, your going to want to stay at around 14 volts, and instead of a stinger 1700, id suggest a optima yellow top as the main battery in the front, and kinetic 1800 or 2000 in the rear. Woofersetc.com has the lowest price on the internet for kinetic and Firstoptimabatteries.com has the lowest on internet, but you can find it cheaper (used) on ebay. Good luck.

lol no crump-t1 is going to teach me how to build a nice box....he's pretty good at it
-
yea, a lot of different points, this was a good one
-
yea cuz it has the opportunity to move a much greater volume of air
-
ported, but i think its more general, just with any enclosure
-
yea thats what i was thinking cuz on lower frequencies, itll bottom out easier when moving in open air.....idk though, thats why i brought it up! lol
-
THATS WHAT I TOLD THIS DUDE ON *** AND YOUTUBE!! lol i was just like, when its in an enclosure...are u sure lol?
-
I just heard that it depressurizes the subs ( while in open air ), the voice coil expands and contracts too much, and it eventually burns out.
-
I've been hearing that having your trunk open while subs are playing can mess up your voice coils, and potentially mess up your entire sub. Is this true or not?
-

check out my new post and maybe itll be easier to understand cuz im new to box building lol
-
here are the dimensions re box calculator gave me so we are on the same page....sorry im new to box building, will this work for 1 15" BTL....supposingly, itll fit in the trunk(s) of the newer car(s) im trying to get (97 Honda Civic EX, 97 Nissan Maxima GXE

of course, i want it to be heard from far away with windows down of course lol, keep the sound in with windows up
-
lol, i thought that too, 2 cubes?
-
why, 4 inches wide is too small?
-
What are ways to increase db's on a 15" fi btl on sundown 2000 amp in a honda civic or nissan maxima? I mean, i want to be heard beatin down the block from far away and do some competition, so other than a 4 inch port, 5 cubic feet, raamat, fiberglass, what else can i do to add more db? Also, will it be heard from far away?
-
l7s hit hard as hell, but square subs tend to have dirty bass, but i still am fond of kicker. If you want something cleaner, and the same price, go for DC lvl 4's or Fi Bls.....but l7s are still good =]
-
I know u workin- Plies, listen to it it hits hard as hell

So me and Crump-T1 were debating which mids/highs are better for a 97 honda civc ex coupe.
He says that Rockford Fosgate Power T152S 2-way Component System will shit on Polk Audio db5251 5-1/4" 2-way Component System.
I think not, but I want to hear any thoughts from you guys.
I have not 100% decided if i wanted to run my mids/highs on a:
Rockford Fosgate Punch T400-4bor a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4.
So just wanted to hear your thoughts on those.

Raamat ------------> http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi
You get a shit ton of mat for a great price, prolly enough for your entire cavalier, maybe even leaving u with more
-
Probably a double baffled 5 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz, fiber glassed on the inside (not the port), and just carpet the outside for looks (similar to Crump-T1's Fi Bl design -------> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...mp;#entry643499
Any other thoughts/recommendations to get the most out of a btl or lvl 5?

I've heard that 1 18" solo x can take up to 8000 watts daily and 30000 watts for 1 second, idk it might actually depend

Do you know a forum, similar to smd, that discusses engine mods (cold air intakes, turbo intercoolers, superchargers etc)?
