  2. I was gain matching my 4500s tonight.. Didnt turn volume down while going to next amp, grabbed allen keyband had my other hand "grounded" to truck... Got a nice little shock haha

cant say i shocked myself yet, knock on wood lol

if you have more then 1 fuse in a amp and 1 is blown will your amp still work?

    prob a dumbass question..

id say itll power on but will protect as you add more load

  3. same thing kinda happend to me last month, i was tighting my negitive wire on my amp and one of the allens hit the side of my amp and sparked and smoked alittle, car was off aswell

all it did was leave alittle white burn mark on the side of the amp, i got soo scared

thats always scary...i figure that if the caps are charged up when the circuit is complete, a short in it can jack em up easy, but now i figure a few hundred amps should not blow the cap, especially on a well built amp.

lol i wish i got shocked instead of risking jacking up the amp #sacrifice yourself for your equipment

  4. i was hooking up an amp today, while tightening the terminals on the amp, my allen wrenched touched the + and ground on the amp for a second making a huge spark (car was off). No fuses blew, amp still turns on just fine, no subs are hooked, is there any chance i still could have damaged anything? subs wont go in for a while so hope i wont see the problem once the subs are hooked up and the amp has a load on it (amp is a sundown 4.5k).

  5. lol my fur ripped apart and got sucked into the port, no wonder it was sounding all weird...damn dude!! apparantly i missed alot of cars and people that were there, i thought i had seen everything but apparantly not, hows everything sounding in your car IH8PunkRok?

beating the shit out of my 3512 right now lol

    eventually ill pick a setup

i did however watch you do some testing at one point. sounded really loud

keep me posted man, i might be going to finals in indy in october 6th/7th, maybe ill see you there!

  6. lol everyone got better vids then i did, it was nice meeting you john? its hard remembering names, hopefully i see you around more shows!

Defiantly one of my favorite trunk builds at the moment. Looks/sounds great man! :good:

thanks dude! it was good meeting you as well, hopefully see you around more also! idk about the looks good part though :fool:

    Thats badass!

And what kinda fur is that?? LoL it's pretty cool looking when it moves with the airflow

basically i killed 3 skunks on the way to slamology, the result was the fur, true story :)

  7. this car is awesome. my personal favorite for trunk builds :)

lol, mann you were the real demo city though, and i ended up getting only sitting in there ONCE at slamology and i didnt have my cam on my, im going to have to start kicking people in the balls for demos :)

i sat right acrossed from this thing and never came to get a demo.. thats it next year were getting name tags or something..or shirts..or hats..something lol

lol someone was smart enough to black ink their yellow shirt saying "IM NIGHTRIDER FROM CACO", very smart idea

Do you have a build log here? That looks great man! :good:

thanks man! yea its in my sig :)

  8. Currently, im running 2 sundown nightshade v2s at 2 ohms strapped on 2 saz 2500s and seeing voltage drops in the mid/upper 12s. With issues regarding lack of space and my slave amp going into protect, i am going to go the route on getting a sundown 4500 and run it at .5 ohms daily (going to run 1 2500 at .5 daily for now). My electricals are 1 optima yellowtop up front with big 3, 2 runs of 0 gauge power, 2 xs power d3100s in the rear and a excessive amperage 200 amp alternator. If anything, i plan on getting a dc power 270 xp in the near future, but just wanted some opinions or experiences on running any amp at .5 ohms

  9. it works so i wouldnt complain lol, as long as your amps dont overheat and it sounds good then thumbs up

nahh they heat less then before, i appreciate all the help troubleshooting, it led to this solution, so far so good, i wish there were more instructions on how to do this, this is my first time hooking up 2 amps for subs and mids/highs, hate to blow 2k+ worth of equipment not doing it right lol

  10. i think i fixed it but not sure if i did it right. Now i got all 4 rcas going to amp 1 with pass thru going to the front channels only on amp 2. I have every channel on amp 1 at 2 ohms, i got the front channels on amp 2 at 2 ohms, but i have no rear connections on amp 2 and now all the channels are working perfect and its a lot louder. My guess is that when i left the rear left with no input on amp 1 and no input on the rear right on amp 2, it didnt allow the signal to pass thru, now its just passing the front channels through which is all i need, hope its right.
