  1. it could be bad wiring to the speaker, bad speaker or a dead channel on the amp, take a dmm and get a reading off the channel your having issues with, if your getting voltage then compare it to the voltage off a known working channel and if theyre similar then the amp is doing its job and its in the speaker or wire

well i guess ill add that all the speakers work when i center the stage, i have 8 4 ohm speakers (4 going into FL/FR on amp 1, 4 going into FL/FR on amp 2) and 4 4 ohm speakers (2 going into RL on amp 1, 2 going into RR on amp 2), rcas seem fine to me, itll have to be the morning before i can check...the manual for the amp does not mention how to do this, im thinking maybe 1 amp needs to be on "2 channel" mode to enable the pass thru? may be worth a try

  2. I'm trying to link 2 rockford fosgate t600-4s together, but one channel seems to always be off.

I have all 4 rcas from the head unit to amp #1 going in the inputs, then i have an rca y splitter (M to 2 F) coming out of each input of the pass through, then having 4 rcas coming from those into the inputs on amp #2. The front left and front right channels of amp #1 and #2 are at 2 ohms. The rear left on amp #1 is at 2 ohms, the rear right is not in use. The rear right on amp #2 is at 2 ohms, the rear left is not in use. I have "all pass" turned on on both amps and both amps are set to "4 channel" there seems to be an issue when i stage the sound on the head unit to rear left, i get no sound at all.

  3. So i have 2 dual 2 ohm subs trying to do a 2 ohm link master/slave on 2 saz 2500s. In the manual it shows a picture of how to do it with 1 sub, so how do you do it with 2? Common sense tells me to just run the other subs to the other inputs, but im not 100% sure.

  4. I am debating on whether to get 2 2500s strapped at 2 ohms or a 4500 at 1 ohm? The system is going to be 2 ns v2 15s in a 6.25 cube box @ 33 hz with 116 sq inches of port sealed off from the trunk firing forward. Electrical is 2 runs of 0 gauge, 2 xspower d3100 batteries and a excessive amperage 200 amp alternator. I want the most power output with the least impedance rise, Let me know if you have experience with testing these amazing amps :)

  5. I would strap them, that way you may get more power out of the two strapped than running a single amp after rise.

Strapped or not, i seriously recommend you to use 2 smaller amplifiers, easier to sell, easier to fit in the car, if one of them broke down you still have some bass, on wich case, you can change parts from one to the other one until you find the problem on the broken amplifier and just fixed, i could keep going all day long hehe.

I used a Soundigital 8K , cadence C6 and another couple of big amplifiers, now i only use multiple small amps and i´m so damn happy :)

thats enough to convince me to strap, plus why not try something new lol, so i guess i need dual 2 coils and wire them in series, then take the positives on both subs and parallel them to the "master" amp and the negatives from both subs and parallel them to the "slave" amp?

  6. I never understood why people strap amps with a setup like your considering. If you have 2 amps and 2 subs, just put an amp on each sub at 1 ohm.

    why is that?

strapping elts you set one gain. and allows you to have one load. ive seen instances where a pair of strapped amps was stronger than a single amp as well

orion 1200ds strapped would do like 3600 watts

an orion 2500d does 3200 or so.

true, its just something ive never done in the past and always like to get input before i try, maybe i should!

  7. Ive only had 3 systems in the past and i always ran off of 1 amp, i was going to try to run 2 nightshade v2 15s off of 2 saz 2500s strapped at 1 ohm each amp (2 ohm final) or just get a sundown 4500 at 1 ohm. I heard that you lose more power when you strap 2 amps but im not sure if thats true. Any input would be great

*i'm trying to SQL, both daily and competition, i'm trying to get a little more into competition next year

  8. Hey, I am thinking about doing a new box for 2 sundown nightshade 15s in the trunk of my maxima "subs/port firing forward sealed off from trunk". I've been messing with numbers trying to get around 100 sq inches of port, tune to 32 hz, and keep it around 6 to 6.5 cubes, but i am wanting a center slot "L" port and cant figure out how to calculate it when its in the center. To give you an idea of my trunk, i cant go past 40 inches wide, 17.5 tall, or 28 depth and i will be using mdf wood, double baffle, woofer displacement is .2 per woofer, and i plan to just glass the whole box on the inside and use the center port as the bracing. Any help would be appreciated

  9. I'll try and come down if you promise to stay out of my class, don't need you beating up on me :drinks:

yea if there is the class for being the biggest feg, well it would be down to us 2, so i got no choice but to be in your class lol

Oh and since you said its like meca.. do I need to be out of the car over 145 dB?

honestly, i do not know for sure how they are going to meter, if it is the same as last year, no you do not need to be out your car and i think itll be dash with opening doors/windows etc., not 100% sure on classes but last year they did it by cone area/fuse rating

  10. if it was the same as last year, it should be similar to meca's classes, except they meter on the dash, but thats iirc, ill post more info as it comes....i'm going to assume it was on saturday like last year, it would make more sense

  11. Yepp, All Or Nothing is back for its third show, this time, it's going to be 3 days long, with a car show and soundoff. I attended last year and there was a HUGE turnout, and that was when they did it for 1 day. SOUND COMPETITION IS SATURDAY THE 17TH AT 2PM! See info below
