  1. Idk how the hell this guy will sell, the basketball part made me :shot: i took a print screen for a repost just in case it gets flagged or deleted, i cant call him cuz he didnt give a area code i dont live in atlanta, but i did email him and i was like, "what a great deal! I just wish i had a car right now" but he didnt respond yet lol

THE LINK GOT FLAGGED FOR REMOVAL HERE IS PRINT SCREEN

  2. i just did a 97 Sunfire and it was totally different so i guess they used different interiors in some of them. But yes taking off the entire dash pad over a trim piece is stupid, lol

lol i agree, i mean it isnt a problem, its just why do they do it like that? I guess automobile designers are smarter than us...

  3. lightning audio bangs fuckin hard im not gonna lie, my buddies 88 civic had 3 of those on sony xplod amps with walmart wiring and a optima yellow top (i think total setup was like $350, and that mofo hit 147 db......i also heard 2 hifonics $30 subs on 1k watts hit 142 db, so i think it all comes down to box design

  4. I also own a 97 blazer and the dash does come off easily, I have the same stock radio but found it quite easy to remove, but have been doing this stuff for 5+ years. Now my First install was my GF's 97 cavalier 4 yrs ago and that was a bi*ch. the whole dash literally comes out lol.

my first deck was on a 98 cavalier and it was redic easy, but this was easy except for the 2 screws behind the deck lol

Theftlock has nothing to do with there being that many screws. Theftlock locks out the radio if power is lost and a code is entered.

yea, i didnt know if its just cuz its anti theft but only installing once more before, i wouldve never imagined that there would be screws, so i guess thats how its designed, well now i learned something :)

  5. So I just finished my 2nd head unit install ever, and boy did this this one take a while. The 1997 Chevy Blazer's dash just pops right off, no screws needed, excpet the factory deck is "Anti Theft" and they were not fuckin joking. A total of 13 screws needed to take off the deck, takes time, but the last 2 sucked cuz they were attatched to the back of the deck. :01nocomment8so: Anyways, install went good, took almost 1.5 hours, till his grandma said we had to end for the night cuz we got school tomorrow, but i still have to do minor things like tighten screws and all that. Has anyone else had frustrating experiences with "TheftLock" head units?

  6. you have enough room to do one 15 and if you do it like doug mentioned you can slide the box in no problem

hell yea, hopefully i will ill take more measurements!!

I'm trying to figure out how to make 1 15 work facing forward since the max is 16" high w/o cutting shit, then 1.5" thick for wood leaves 14.5" inside height. gonna be tight
2 15" box that was in my car, it was only like 5 cubes and i have a civic si.

right on! thanks for all the help everyone, ill still consider a civic! :)

  7. You have 36 inches between strut towers and at the back of the trunk it opens up to like 54 inches or so

but I just said 35 inches sp it wouldn't be such a tight squeeze between the strut towers

well as long as it works! :)

its a chrysler 300 c it has a big trunk well it had a big trunk now theres enough room for some beer and a few groceries but we figured that there was roughly 4 cubes from the seatback rest to the edge of the package tray

yea those are huge trunks, yea i kinda dont care if there is 0 cargo space, i really dont need it, ill just use the back seats

  8. my box has some wood strips mounted to the bottom that just picks it up over the the wire loom that goes to the factory battery in the back and it fits between the wheel humps

How much space did it give u by doing that?

maybe its just me but it seems like you should fit more in there,

my box is 4.3cubes after all dis

36x16x22 and its in a Hyundai accent

is it a hatch or the coupe? The coupe i think is about an inch higher...sometimes an inch makes a huge difference, can u send me some pics or link to ur build?

  9. Keepin it loud

yea i was thinking of other ways to mount it, that looks like a good way ill look into it

how has no one mentioned this yet.....

take the 2 front seats out (8 bolts) then take the top part of the back seat out (another 4 bolts) then you can fit a box that is 15" tall, 35" wide, and 30" deep by bringing it in through the front door area and sliding it into the trunk

but wont the wheel well outlines make it smaller when you put it from the seats?
