well next week end theres a comp hoping to do some nice numbers
-
alright thats good to know feel much better now
im running 4 of the level 3s with level 4 coils and spiders and at first had them on 2000 rms to all 4 and it was louder then the 4 10 type rs i had on 3000 rms and sounded soo much better
they are now seeing roughly 1500rms each one ap30001d per pair of subs and they are loving it! havent got it on the meter yet but for gettin much over rater power they are handling it very nice not getting warm or anything have yet to bottom one out as well
-
well.. when i 1st got my 10s level 3 10s with level 4 coils and extra spider i looked at the coil and it seemed rather dark for it being new is this normal? then just recently i had them out to put them in the new box and loked closer at the coils and it looks like ever other "wire" is darker so its like light dark light dark alll the way down is that normal? both coils are hooked up they never got warm or stinky
-
i would hate to be the guy changing them haha
well..someone beat me to it haha
-
alright thanks its unhoked now guess i got no knob haha
with i go to set the SSF with a 25 hz tone ( setting it so it outputs 55v at 25 hz) one amp will read 70 or so volts while the other will read 38.7 both are compltly turned down? whats going on there
-
You hacked some hardware without understanding what it was you were actually doing, screwed up, and now are wondering why while expecting us to have the answers ?

wrongggggggggg
i bought a spliter for it
amp was set without bass knobs hooked up as well
1st time ive run a bassknob with any of my amps so... kinda new to that part...
-
well i have 2 AP30001ds now and got a bass knob and split it to both amps... when i plug it in its gets quieter even when its turned up all teh way and when its turned up all te way it clips the subs but if i unplug them and go back to the same vol. level it dont clip them? whats going on ?!
-
alrighty got the amps in and to say the least its retardedly loud ahaha but i set the gain for 77V for 3kw at 2 ohm when i play a 25 hz tone to set the ssf one amp reas 38.7 and the other 70 and i cant get the one that reads 70 down to 38.7 without turning the ssf all the way what would casue that?
-
55 volts for 1 ohm 77 for 2 ohms
-
i find that at 42 out of 50 is about the mas i will go usually for just listing is 40 but 42 for louudd
-
subs will not be hooked up when i do it ( other amp will be here in a few days) ill play a 50 hz tone 0db with the sub vol. setting on 4 out of 8 and turn the gain knobs till i get a 77vrms reeding correct?
-
no nothing will be hooked up i dont want to go threw setting all the other eq "bands" just to match all the outputs im sure theres an easier way
if i have a 50 hz tone... ill be setting the output of the amp to 77vrms correct? ill have the sub settin on 4 out of 8 becasue i know maxing it out isnt the best of ideas and 0 is completly off and i woul dlike a little room to turn the bass down if need be
-
140 amp alt 2 red tops in the back and a stock upfront 2 runs of 1 gauge to the rear
-
alright looks like ill used a 70 hz tone 0db then? lol with it on 4 out of 8?
-
well what i have been doing is having the sub vol. at 4 and setting it till the voltage just starts to drop ( and its as loud as i want it then) but i have 2 amps ill be running so i cant do that and need to gain match them
-
yes 0 shuts the sub completly off lol no bass threw sub at all
-
i dont get what your trying to say with the having it at 8 out of 0-8 lol
what will be the differance from te -3db and 0 db ive never understood that
-
then with it at 0 it shuts the bass completly off i have the bass on the eq down all the way as asll so i think its moreless a sub volume
-
stock ( no MLA) and 2 red tops in the back i can stay at 15 volts then to just over 14 once its warm
-
the 0-8 is on the deck sub volume
the amps are audiopipe AP30001Ds
-
have a dmm i will be spliting the rcs off so i will only have half the voltage threw each... 5 volt preouts so 2.5 to each amp correct?
i was thnking of putting it at 4 so i dont need to crank the gains and still have room to turn it down when i would like
-
i was told -3 so was gunna go with that
my sub settin goes from 0 ( odd) to 8 what should i have it at? will a 70 hz tone work?
and for 3K it should be 77Vrms right?
-
alright i got the gain matching and all figuered out buttttttt i need a -3 db tone 60HZ or another tone i can use to set the amps with and also a place to find it!
thanks

well i used to race lawnmower befor i got into some troubls and had to sell my stuff to pay for a lawyer ( but 3/4 the money went to a little system haha)
heres some pics and vids of it engine is a 18 hp vangaurd v twin side shaft with a star clutch 3800 engaugement aluminum flywheel and i put some double valve springs and it pulled hard all the way to about 7500 rpm didnt wanna go much higher on stock rods and have it explode
i was most of the time fighting for the lead or in the top 3 took 2nd overall by i think it was 25 points if that ( all i needed was one more 1st place)
pics!!
i know only 3 of us but the other guys broke... that was one of the very few track i could get any traction on ( i could drift it on dry road whenever i wanted to )
thats were most of my money went befor i got into car audio
theres guys running fully built v twins on alky that sound like mini top fuel cars its retarded
