  1. well i build a box thats 5 1/2 cubic feet for my RE MT 18",i just want to know if i could get away with just 1 6" aero port, im asking because ,i check port calculator to see how long does 2 6" port have to be to get tuning @ 34 hertz and they have to be about 43" on each, thats too long

  2. i got a 1993 camry le 2.2 liters. im getting sluggish acceleration and engine performance. it just doesnt feel the same. it feels like their is a whale in my car when i drive. and im think excessive gas consumption. i want to know what might be the problem. im going to be honest, i dont know anything about engines and fix them. at least i want to know what might be wrong so when i go into a shop i know whats up with my ride and what it needs. thanks.

it can be you mass air flow sensor, thats what controls gas,buy one at junk yard because that part is expensive.

  3. ok, next thing to check is that the crossover on the amplifier is set to pass on both sides, or off, whichever the amp has. Make sure one isnt accidently stuck on lpf or something silly.

i check that to,it has lp hp and full ,so i have it in full, I really think is that piece of shi* amp,im going to get a powerbass 600.4 or 400.4 like the one in my sig to match my other amp and see what happens.

  4. what head unit do you have? did you accidently plug one of the RCAs into a non fader? double check. I did the same thing a week ago...

Im almost certain you have an RCA plugged in wrong or speaker wires plugged in wrong. That and I dont know what slopes you are setting the crossovers at...

and 2500 may be a little low for the tweets. they are 1 inch so bigger than others but i would turn them up a hair. i would be concerned at high volumes for them.

rca running from Hu to crossover is plug in on rca that have llabel FRONT ,and crossover has 3 outputs High,Low and sub

so i have high for tweeters, low for mids and sub im not using

  5. wait, if your running active why do you have a separate crossover listed as items that you used? step 1 purchase a better amp that does at least 80watts rms x2 @ 4 ohm, hook up crossovers as passive, set hpf of better amp to 80-100 hz

this is how i have set up hook up

HU--to crossover --2 rca's output one for highs and 1 for lows to amp

  6. the stock crossovers are high passed at 100 hz for those comps. so i guess you are running active. Like someone above said, try turning up the hpf a little and see what happens. sounds to me like something is crossed over wrong, check all the rca cables.

also try a steeper slope for the lpf on the mids and see what happens.

double edit: can your pioneer run active?

pioneer cant runs active.i check evething like 10x and still get distortion on mids only, tweets sound good.i dont know if the mids need more power.but im planning on getting a powerbass 600.4 amp

  7. This. Are you using the crossovers that came with the component set or running active?

im runnnig active,i set gains with dmm but still get distortion,i think is 18db slope,i dont know how many real watts does the amp give out but it says 100 watts per channel so i have each speaker on its own channel

i try setting crossover up to 180hz and still get distortion

  8. well i have some cdt CL-61A-25 PRO components,i have them hook up with a dhd 400 watt amp and a alpine crossover ,when i turned it up my mids start distorting really bad, they dont get loud,my highs do ,but mids just distort, can it be the amplifier ?rigth now i have 2 channels for mids and other 2 channels for highs ,my mids are playing from 80 hz to 2500 and tweeter from 2500 and up.i play around with crossover but no luck
