    I was getting the 50hz sine wave to do some amp tuning from ROE's download section, and they have a 20-120hz slow warble, i downloaded it jus cuzz it sounded cool, but what is it exactly? Is it used in tuning or is it a test track you would ring out in a competition setting.

    I need laymans terms cuzz google just wasnt clear

    I am an EMT-I........

    From the outside looking in, I would guess on 2 things. Sounds like a "Sympathetic Nervous System issue" and here is why: Sounds like she is vasodialating (Veins, vessels open up majorly causing huge amount of blood flow, but with lower pressure) Is anyone getting vital signs when she is "down"? Is blood pressure anywhere near 120/80 or is it more like 99/65? Pulse? Also, now this may sound weird, but right before the episode begins, is there anything in the room that might be "Scaring" her? I've seen some psychogenic shock episode, where all it would take is a CAT to enter the room, and the PT would collapse.

    I have noticed if she is stressed about something she says she has a headache, then within the hour she has a episode. Can i take her vitals somehow when it happens? i have no idea how or what i would need to, but anything to help at this point ya know.

    Thanks for all the kind words too, I now mom needs all the support she can right now.

    damn, sorry to hear all that. Best of luck bro......... TIA's recovery time should be very quick (1-5 minutes) How long does it take mom to recover from the "restart?" over 5 minutes? Has she fallen anytime recently, or even hit her head? Might there be a subdural hematoma, and intracranial pressure is "forcing" on the brain region. This would cause S/S of similar distinction. G/L, Think positive!

    Umm, she averages about 10mins to recover, and hasnt smacked her noggin as far as i know. She did have one time where it took her almost an hour to "come back" that was a really scarry day.

    Sorry to bother you all with my BS, but my mom is in th hospital. About 6 months ago when she lived in Mi. still she had what we were told at the time was a stroke and that she was suffering from TIA's(mini strokes like a aftershock from a quake)but this seems to not be the case.

    Sis took her to Riverside last night and after a MRI and Cat scan they ruled out the TIA's and are very concerned about nervous system malfunstions..

    Like a bad solder joint in the nerves or something..

    any way she keeps shutting off, like restarting the Puter, doesnt know where she is, who anyone is, and its gotten where she will have an episode just about every day now.

    Sorry to clog up forum space, but my mom is the SHIT! and im just really upset with the fact here we are 6 months later and still at square 1 with what is actually wrong.

    i got called out pulling into a mickey d's drivethru

    playing that drake song "unstopable" like silly low...like low enough to hear the guy from across the lot go "your subs aint shit" (if you heard the song, i dont think it drops under 80hz...its sweet for midbass)

    so he asked what i had, i said a few 8's, he said to bump em, so i played something with bass at full volume, and he just walked back to his car and wouldnt show me what he had...sucks getting shut down by some kid with 8's i guess

    damn, i'm getting home the following weekend after the summer semester, went last year and it was a blast with a huge turnout....owell just gonna have to wait till next year :(

    That sux a fat one bro...

    Ive never competed, but the turnout was huge the couple times i saw it..(i used to work in gibraltor) so i hope its a killer turn out this year.

    My mom wants to come to this event.. she was big into watching me back when i was in HS, now im 30 and she still thinks its cool to "Watch all those speakers move that much" at 50..haha gotta luv Momz! Hell she'd sit on the roof in the s-10 for me! LMAO

  20. Blown crossover, strange noise from speakers

    after attempting to play it with the noise, one of the crossovers exploded. a cotton like material exploded everywhere from outside the crossover. The subs seem to be rumbling as well even with the volume down.Thanks

    The cotton like stuff that blew out from the caps on the crossover are the only thing i can shed any light into..

    Ive only seen that happen when you hook one up backwards to a higher voltage.. A 1/4farad cap will blow a hole in your hand if it lets go(seen it) from being hooked up wrong. Do you have a small light bulb in your crossover? is it lighting up all the time? if so you are leaking lots of high voltage to the speaker and could be a amp problem from my experiences..Your sure to get some more experienced members to chime in here..

    from teh info in the link, its gonna have the db drag,bassrace,port wars,outlaw and a king of street for cash as well, 80$ will get you in all of the contests for the weekend with your gate fees... I have a few vendor passes to get in the gates for free, but only a few.ill call my brother and see what he can do for some more freebies!

    This will be my first Comp with my truck, or in 10yrs for that matter..I plan on doing both DBdrag and BassRace, just to get as much meter time as i can.

    Lets get a little Roll Call of sorts for those planning to attend, we should get a meeting area figured out and roll SMD deep into teh show..
