As for my voltage..i really hope i just need a decent battery, and thats my issue. If i got took on this alternator im going to be 1 pissed off little bastard.
Cruising i stay steady at 14.1-14.2 its only when im loading the motor at a stop that i get into the 11s

Nope, the other amp is still at the UPS depot..
I thought that was a far drop myself, i have been iffy about this alt since i got it, it deff has been an improvment from the stock 105a cuzz i could shut the truck off at full tilt on the brake in gear before, first the H?U screen would go black then the truck would shut off..
I do only have some junk ass autozone special 550cca POS in there that looks to be 10yrs old, i need to check the date tag.

my buddy has run a pair of crunch gp 1600.1 at .5 with no problems (but depends on your electrical/ rise) :hairtrick:
My elec is getting there, all 1/0 and a 300a alt. but no extra batts yet. at full tilt idleing i drop to 13.4ish..with the headlights on idle on the brake in gear ill drop to 11.8 full tilt.

i run this amp. I know its not a RF or Sundown but for my budget, its perfect for me.
right now its running 4 12s @ 2ohms, but i have a second amp sitting at the UPS dock waiting for delivery and will run 1 amp per pair at 1 ohm and see what they do. I cant be happier with the amp, the subsonic works very well and it has not shut off from heat or clipping on me except once before i got my alternator.

I had him a little on cone area(4-12s vs 2-15s) but he was deffinatly RMSing more to his 2 than my four. im only getting 185w to each right now cuzz the 1 amp is running 2ohms..lol
His setup looked promising, but i cant tell ya..hahaha

So my dude calls me up, drunk to say the least for a 2am "whats up" call.
We end up at the Waffle house and get our grub on. good eats, some drunk tramps to laugh at, you know the typical Waffle House experience.
As we leave i bumped a little and this dude yelss across the lot, oh it aint loud! so my homie being his drunk self says pull it it up man lets see what you got!...
This other guy looked pretty drunk to me but, he goes on bout his 2 15s and his 2000w amp, and how it banged so hard. I said well i got a few 12s back there is all nothing special, and let I put on play out for a min or so....
Needless to say i only got to see his 2 audiopipe 15s that banged so hard cuzz he was a little too embarrased to play it after my short demo.
Ive never been called out for a "sound off" before anywhere,who knew waffle house would be the first time!!!lmao

michigan?? how far of a drive is that for you? add 3 hours onto that for me. sounds far as hell...but might not be as bad as i'm thinking
thats why ya drive to my house and then we go from there. its right at 3 hrs to the trade center from my house. But we have a place to crash up there at my brothers.. no long drive after the show

Ok please remember im still getting the hang of this ported thing, fukin newbs i swear...So what exactly are you worried about again? Port noise and turbulence cuzz of the "wierd" shape port? Or not even being able to reach a desired tune? They have both been mentioned in the build i just wanted some more in depth info on your concerns and why..
I couldnt tell from the pic, but if that is a multi-axis router can a cnc'd flair be worked out for the DC port?

sounds good.. do you know roughly about how much the big 3 will cost?.. sucks cause i just rebuilt my transmission cause it blew on me haha.. currently still owe 450 on it..
Since us pickup guys are lucky enough to not have to run all the way to a trunk or hatch, i had 25ft of wire when i started, did the big3 wires a 1 run of it to the xtra cab and have about 6 ft left over... But my power run is only about 7-8 ft long cuzz it runs down the tranny hump, not up n out to the door sills and back in. I suck at guesstimating prices/needs, but i budgeted 100$ for my wiring, and was really close to it, like 110 or something.

While you are picking up your new wire, make sure to order crimp rings for your big 3 needs, and groud wires,i think i used 10 to do mine, and a FUSE HOLDER/ Fuse...Bigger hose means more water to spill, so PLEASE make sure you have the proper rated fuse in line..
