  1. just the one speaker? im gonna guess u tested with the door open.
  2. ok so it didnt distort at first and now it does? what car?
  3. did the wires in the speaker plug feel loose at all?
  4. 24? idk about that 1. he prolly didnt install it himself so he isnt sure what all is in there. thats only 40 watts a channel if its 1000 true rms at whatever ohm . 2. u dont need that manny 5 1/4. 3. im not sayin u couldnt run several off a 2 ch amp. but y bring it down to 8 ohms or somethin so u could run alot of spekers. i mean your runnin more speakers but each speaker gets quieter and quieter with the more u add. my guess is he has a few amps
  5. voice coils are voice coils. dont matter subs or mids. the amp cant c them it can only feel the ohm load
  6. normal halogen last 400 to 600 hours i believe. and hid last around 24thousand hours. idworry about the transformers giving out first
  7. in that case install away. this will help u http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp
  8. i wasnt tryin to step on your toes u no just givin a heads up
  9. no 65 is fine. hid is usually expensive mine were 100. mine r extream purple. been thinkin about changein them. i think your 12 will be nice
  10. i have mine ran off of relays just to be easy on the car wireing just to be safe. they r suppose to draw less current but if u payed 65 for them u might thin about it. better safe than sorry. if your wondering. pin 85. chassis ground pin 86. factory headlight power wire pin 87. batt pin 30. hid power into the transformer
  11. i dont think u can if u have to have 1 or 2 channels. u have to have a 4 ch. fuckin ohms
  12. sorry sable lol. i have never ran car audio amps at 8 ohm is the only reason im worried. its not a common ohm load for this type of thing and it is a sony amp. they arent the best amp. i dont want him to go through all this trouble just to have it not work for more than 30 sec
  13. your right but home audio stuff is made to run 8 ohm all day. car audio isnt. i cant be sure that the amp will push 8 ohm or if it will be to much resistance and give out plus not to mention it will reduce the power even more like someone else said on here
  14. keep it away from any power wires in the car. u should be ok
  15. im thinkin no matter what way u go about it that sony is gonna get hot and shut down. im pretty sure it wont run 8 ohm and i no it wont do 1
  16. if u could get them wired down to 4 ohms yes
  17. well the problem is buget and car audio dont go together. the best way to do it is run 4ch's. but u can use the 2 ch. just gonna be hard to get alot of speakers wired to a safe ohm load for 2 channels
  18. i meant yours. but yeah both r tight. yea thats what im sayin put some faces with the names we c
  19. yea i know. it would just be cool ifhe could u no. im sure with a job girl kids and friends its hard to find time to do what he does nowbtw. your tahoe is sick as fuck
  20. if they had a good guest everynight. meade should just do a bs chat a couple nights a week. just get on here and shoot the shit with us
  21. it boils down to ohms. the amp cant tell how many speakers it has on it. it only see's the ohm load. so in theory u could run 100 speakers of a 2 ch amp if u could wire it to a ohm load the amp could run. and send enough power to. so safe? yes but not the most effective wy to go about things
  22. half the fanbase when dave was on was just watching so they wouldnt miss anything when meade cameback meade your a star now lol
