I tried to imbed this but it isn't working. I thought this was hilarious. Disclaimer: It has some cussing in it so if you don't like that then you probably shouldn't watch it. Sorry if its a re-post.

jesus how did I get dragged into this...I would appreciate it if you didn't compare my tahoe to Steve'sby no means does mine come even closeI know my shit is ghetto and is bound to not look good over timeI say keep the rims the way they are.. the only reason I could think to paint the lip is to be different since so many people have the U2-55'sIMO the chrome looks sexy in person especially on a 26
Chill out man, I wasn't comparing your tahoe to Steve's. I was just suggesting that road debris could chip the paint and I remember that you had to repaint your rims because of that. Thats all.

I think the rims look good the way they are, plus I remember in thehoe92's build log he kept having to repaint the lip on his rims because it kept getting chipped by road debris.

Id get a DIMM out and start inspecting your grounds. I had the same issue in my z and my 91 accord, turned out to be poor grounds. At idle it should be in the 13's. if anything you can go to your local autoparts store and they can test your alternator in car.You can put a full load on your electrical system and get the DIMM and test from the battery ground point to the frame. It should be little if not none, however if its excessive then there is the issue. ALSO you can do this with the power, you can go from the power positive of the battery to the output terminal on the alternator. My van last year would idle around 12.8 which was not acceptable, and didnt get over 13.6 at throttle. changed the alternator, not much change, then Cleaned up the grounds and added an additional ground (just one) and boom, idles at 13.7 and with throttle 14.4 volts. With a load just over 13.9v
I will definitely do that. Thanks for the help man! Hopefully it fixes it.

Not gonna solve it. I've seen 2 h/o alts, including mine, that have broke from hondas engine. The alts are almost too powerful for these engines.
Damnit...So am I stuck with this low ass 11.9.

i am going to go out on a limb here and say something is malfunctioning inside your alternator. my stock alt worked fine until one day, not sure what happened, it was just different. i popped the hood to find smoke rising, thought my alt was shot. at idle it would sit 12, sometimes dropping down to 11.9 if i had anything running (stereo, lights, heater, etc). but when driving around it would sit 13.6 or even 13.9 sometimes. i would look into getting a new alt before anything gets ruined, because it sounds like it isnt working properly
The problem is that I just put a new stock replacement in about a year ago and I haven't had any problems with it since then.
Damn, I didn't know so many people had this problem. I guess once the funds are available I will just get a high output alt and I definitely won't have any voltage issues then.

Aftermarket alternator?
No, stock alt. Saving up for aftermarket one.

What's your voltage with your car off no volume. Also what's your voltage in park, drive and neutral?
This I am not completely sure of since my voltmeter only comes on when the head unit turns on. Also currently I can't access a DMM to test it.
What vehicle Is it?
1991 Honda Accord.

I have a strange voltage problem. When I pull up at a stop light playing music with about 1/4 volume my voltage sometimes reads about 11.9 volts at my 4 channel amp. When I hit the highway it goes up to about 13.5 volts, which I would expect, but what I don't understand is when I put my car in park and let it idle the voltage goes up to 13.5 and I can go full tilt and it only drops to about 13.4. I don't really understand how idling at a stop light is different than idling with my car in park. Hopefully someone can help me understand why this is happening. By the way my equipment is listed in my signature.
Thanks,
Jake

I wonder what the guys in the ambulance were saying.

When your system draws more amperage than your alternator and starting battery can support is when you need a second battery.

It would probably be a good idea if you read through This.

That looks really good man. Your have to start somewhere. I just started using fiberglass and let me tell you that body filler is your friend. You can get that stuff smooth as butter.

I wish I could hit the low notes like that.

Yeah that is kind of an old pic.

That sounds strangely familiar...

The DD Audio CS components cost about the same. I have them and I love them.

That will power them real nice.

I have the same damn problem with my ipod touch 3g. Only it only gives me that code with songs I downloaded from this site. It doesn't do it with songs I ripped form cds or songs I bought off itunes. I feel your pain. It frustrating as f#%k. You could try resetting the deck too. Don't know if you did but I didn't see that you did in your original post.
