  1. i would look into a mid length or full length header, the biggest issue with these trucks is the 1 7/8" down pipes off the manifolds.

i tried shorties on mine and noticied a little better performance. i now have doug thorely tri-y's,with 2.5" downpipes into a universal y-pipe(2.5" in/3" single out)

into a highflow cat with a 14" magnaflow muffler with it dumped right after the cab. the performance now is quite noticable down low(torque).

  2. get the front of the truck up in the air, when your friend gets back have him or you turn the steering wheel back and forth.look for play in the tierods,or any other steering components.

to see if the balljoints are shot, grab the tire at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and push and pull.you shoud have very little play.looking at you pics,it looks like its time for some new parts.

  3. i do pest control for a living, as for using poisons like decon.it is a really bad idea,i know they put a ban on it last year.you cant buy it anymore in stores.you can still get poisons that are in pre baited box, that have a very low chance of secondary poisoning if a pet were to eat a rodent.

now if you want use poisons. i suggest you place it in the crawl space of your home,in your garage where pets and kids cant get to it,but i dont recommend it.by law when we use poisons,we have to have it in a tamper resistant bait station. i place them in the corners of the garage(1 on each side of the overhead door, and 1 by the water heater,if that is in your garage.)the best thing to do is walk around your home and figure out how they are getting in.

places to look for are around any gas lines, water lines, exterior vents, dryer vents, and check to see if you how your cable lines are ran through your house. and cracks in the foundation.you will want to seal up any gap that is 1/4" or bigger.same with the garage, water lines, gas,and around the door framing.

i use silicon (not foam, they will chew right through it) to seal up entry points, the bigger holes you are going to want to use 1/4" hardware cloth, not chicken wire.

  4. i want to try a fourth order for my lvl 4 12, i have roughly 3.5 cu ft to work with.

it will be going in between the seats of my 98 chevy single cab, it will be powered by

a dc 2k(hopefully thats what the wife bought me for christmas.)

    i'm thinking 2:1 ratio, with a 4" aero.just want your guy's expertice on what i should do.

heres an idea of how i want it to look.
