  1. all sanded and primed. part of the matte black shot, and the black where the kicker graphics will be has been shot. after we finish detailing this truck tomorrow, ill sand a bit and finish painting. check that truck out too, you wont regret it
  2. thanks. yea, i'll build two little boxes for each side to support it with my leftover mdf. anyways, here's a vid i took this morning with my broken camera. sound is awful and for some reason color is wacky. only two subs in right now since i dont have the other amp and i havent pulled my other subs out of the truck yet. only turned it up to 7 with the bass volume at 1/2 on my eq. its loud for sure, but looks ugly and sounds ugly in the vid
  3. here's my truck btw so this is what it is going in. my two previous builds are up on gmfullsize, ill link them later if that's alright. 2002 GMC Sierra Ext Cab | Dark Slate and Blood Red Pinstriping (taken off) | 4 6 DJM Drop with Calmax control arms and c-notched frame | 22 inch Boyd Coddingtons wrapped in a 285/30/22 goodyear eagle F1| Dynomax Bullet w/ turndown | True Flow XDI Intake | Precision Grille | EFX Rollpan | Paint matched Air dam, handle buckets and Street Scene Wiper Cowl | Billet Wipers arms, door and tailgate handles | 2 Kicker 12inch CVRs | Power Acoustik Amps 6k total | Alpine Type x Pro Mids and Highs | Kenwood KDC-MP538U | Clarion 7-Band E.q. | Autopage RS-900 Alarm and Remote Start |
  4. decided to build a little something for the summer madness uprising show in july. picked up my router last week along with the circle guide. got my mdf and some other stuff today. all its gonna be is 2 more cvr 12's to match the two i have now. still workin on the port size, if any one can help me on that, that would be great, i want it tuned a little higher since they are 12s, but other than that im clueless on ports. Equipment: 4 Kicker CVR 12's 2 ohm dvc 2 Power Acoustik 2000 watt amps i dont care what ppl think of the set up, im on a budget so im not runnin 4 sundown 3500s and 4 12 inch 4 hcca's or re xxx's. modest build in my book. this is my 3rd major build for my truck, first time using router, first ported build. used skill saw, router, drill, and other basic materials i needed (i.e. mdf, screws, caulk, glue). predrilled every hole for the screws, 3/4 inch mdf, individually ported subs tuned to about 43 Hz each. here's some pics: made a little mistake on the 2nd hole from the left, but nbd, wont show. first time using a router too dimensions on the box are 60 x 19 x 21. ok, i figured things out on my own on sunday. then something monday clicked and i got super busy on the box, so busy i nearly forgot to take pics, i have a few, but not many. box building is overall done, all sealed off in side with caulk. now working on the outside, puting some bondoglass and filler to smooth out the seams bc my cuts were really shitty so i have some minor gaps. no table saw = fail with my ability to keep the skill saw straight... redid the top too as i got better with the router. pics:
