Alright, Harness is done. Just gotta get a terminal and hook it up tomorrow and hopefully it works! I wish I could try it tonight but can't seem to find a terminal for the ground
-
Okay, i'll see what I can find.
Will system control wire work? Or should I get something a little bigger?
-
Alright but why are the grounds so short on the radio harness if I have to ground a long ways away? Just wondering, I figured you just grounded to the radio casing
-
Alright, do you think I could wedge it in there for now? At least so I can get my radio in, make sure it all works and what not. Also where do I ground my radio to? Theres no metal anywhere around my radio other than the casing itself
-
Let me know man, if you cant get it. I can deff. get some pics for you soon on some ideas.
And once you get a build log up, Ill check that out too.
If you want, I have three links of work Ive done in my sig, you can check those out and let me know what you think.
Would system control wire do fine? I saw some of the stuff you do for friends and it looks very very nice!

Old song is old lol I knew about this awhile ago! I will say I lol everytime I listen to it
-
Alright, I'm gonna go do what I can tonight. I'll let you know how it goes. Probably gonna start a build log once I get my subs which should be here shortly
-
So, wedge a piece of wire into the fuse (the one thats called radio, ignition?) then connect it to the red wire on my new radio harness. Correct?
-
and wedge it in there with the fuse?
-
Why are you getting behind it?
I'm confused. I thought I had to hook the wire up behind the fuse? Idk if i'm just tired or really this dumb lol
If you have pictures that would help alot!!
-
I can't get behind my fuse box though. I just tried and I have to take the gauges out to get behind it. I really don't want to pay out the ass to get it installed by somewhere but I really don't want to mess something up
-
I'll know by tomorrow lol hopefully gonna get it done before a show that way I can listen to my own music on the way there.
-
I'll check it out in the morning. But I wouldn't be able to buy a different harness or anything?
-
Its not to bad, but the newer GMs run their radio via a data wire, your door/warning chimes run through the radio too. So you will also lose those.
Well I can't even get to my fuse box without taking my guages out and taking apart more of the dash. FML

Wow! I didn't realize this would be such a pain lol
-
So how do I go about running my own Acc wire?
-
Alright
-
There is no red wire in the car's factory harness. There are 2 capacitors tho which throw me off but I didn't really think anything of it. One is on the orange wire and the other is on the black wire.
-
Okay, so it has it. Should I put the radio illumination in with it?
-
The red wire is the 12 volt igniton/switched. Is that the ACC? lol this is only the second radio i've installed.
I have the Scosche GM035. First thing I found, said it would work for my blazer.
-
So I'm installing my new radio and it won't turn on. Won't do anything at all. All the wires are connected on the harness except the radio illumination because the radio harness that came with the radio doesn't have the orange wire. Not sure what to do. I have a 2002 Chevy Blazer

The basket looks like an MT But the magnet doesnt. From the pictures i've found from a quick search. They don't have pole vents
-
Stop arguing about mac and pc and get my sample sent out
