I dont know why yall want to argue about 45s taking up airspace. If you plan on using 45s in the box, then allow for that airspace that the 45s will take up. Simple solution. Of course if you test the same box with and without 45s, there will be a difference. Build 2 boxes with the same exact airspace, one with 45s and one without. That will be your test to see if they help or not.
ill put how ever much money on NOT.. its an easy bet i will win 99% of the time
-
small or big 45's 99% of the time hurt loudness don't waste your time with them
and nobody knows what a 45 does to the airflow in a box its all speculation
-
I would suggest something but from my reading none of my experance matters i would just be guessing so good luck with that
-
You don't quit but there is a time where you say fuck it rip it all out and start over

faulty fuse holder itself?
-
What about the kind they use for welding..the disconnects. They make em up to 2/0 I think and they are protected. Let me get the link lol
i use to use those for hydraulic quick disconnects 10 batts in series 120 volts worked well that would work but i would be scurred of it getting pulled out by mistake

Ill look them up too.
i would just grab a wire stretcher
Im googling that.. never heard of it before
WIN!!!!

best safe way i can think of is put a distro block there or a fuse holder
i just broke my wire stretcher so that wont work

HAPPY B-DAY

you said exo im out wont be buying those amps lol
-
Never played with it but i like the looks of that soundstream
-
im talking about the 1500d's and 3k's that is 2 1500d's in one case
-
i never said ANYTHING about clean power lol
i said i have had good luck with them they performed well and didnt blow up subs or get them hot still dont mean it was giving clean power
-
So am I the only one that has had good luck with audipipe then?
I've also seen the audiopipe 3k burb louder then the sundown 3k in the same system just amp swap
-
good luck one mathmatical mistake it will turn out like ASS
4th orders are more forgiving and standard walls are even more forgiving
i dont know your math or build skills but if there lacking i would not try it
-
Well the 6th order has the potential to be louder they almost all have a really small bandwidth vs the 4th order bandwidth that done well plays really flat
I would do a normal ported wall if it was me
-
^^^^ why i am so anti sundown it hurts!
-
also if you dont fully seal off the trunk your wasting your time saying its not perfect means you wasted your time
the more you push back the box the better in most cases
if you good with wood you can seal it off with panels as well
-
dude thats not sealed off
and thats your problem
-
What are you wearing??????
Jk kinda
Just right it out there a ton of rules I know most on top of my head but if it gets real techincal it will give me time to research it for you and I have no issues research rules for just type it out here
-
I have allways gained sealing the trunk off not sure what your doing wrong pics would help
-
just pm me i am a little busy so i will reply as soon as i can

n8 is right the angel is the biggest factor while 45's anywhere in a box will hurt you 99% of the time a wammy as xs spl jeff calls it has helped more times than it has hurt
a wammy swallow angel bord that gos on the back wall and is pretty much the length of the back wall the highest part starts behind the subs and the swallow part gos to the port like a GIANT 45 but again small angle this only works with subs one one side and the port on the other will not work with middle ports
