  1. Should be able to read this better It would be firing Up Port back.. as from what I have read that is the best for an SUV
  2. How is this for a Box... The Idea was to have it snug against the sides so it wont slide back and forth.
  3. I try not to push or pull on anything too hard.. it usually breaks. One draw back to power lifting. Broke a head bolt off in one of my cars before.. pain in the butt to have to drill it out and re-thread it. (before I knew about easy outs) The FI BTL sub magnet looks a lot bigger then a Sony Xplod sub.. At least the one I have sitting in my garage. I would love to get a FI BTL.. but that would require a lot more upgrades.... I happy with a little bump right now. eventually I would like to go to car shows again, those were always fun. and to get to see all the talent 1st hand was awesome.
  4. I think I will build a box tomorrow then... I want that low end. Originally I thought I was not getting the low end because I did not have a power series sub.. that it had something to do with the size of the magnet on the sub... So is the size of the magnet on the sub kinda determine the RMS wattage? Excuse me if some of the questions seem stupid
  5. hmm... OK, that's good to know. see... I am learning all kinds of stuff tonight
  6. So what would you think about this Idea.. this is for future reference. What if I was to build a duel chamber box for 4 12" Rockford Fosgate P2 and tuned one chamber at 35hz and the other chamber at 50hz wouldn't that give me the best of both worlds? good hitting low end bass with good hitting top end bass?
  7. Also thanks for all your help.. things are making a lot more sense now
  8. So if the box is tuned to 35hz it will still be able to play the lower notes also.. like 30-35hz just not as loud?
  9. So would it be safe to say that the current box I have is tuned to probably 50hz since it seems to hit hardest at 53hz?
  10. Don't have either one of thoes on my amp.. Just a hp/ap/lp switch and a crossover knob. So I guess I would want to tune the box at 30hz that is a nice mid point between 33 and 28. I like the low deep bass.. with a 30hz tune it should be good up through 60-70hz right I cant read anywhere on my manual with my Fosgate box where it is tuned at.. but it hits really hard on this song here.. JJ Fad - SuperSonic at 28 seconds into the track
  11. sub sonic filter - Are you talking about the Cross over or is something else I have to buy?
  12. So what you are saying that if I continue to bank some zz top - my heads in Mississippi which parts of the song are tuned at 33hz but my box is tuned to lets say 50hz then I could damage my sub
  13. ahhh.. OK So as long as the box is tuned correctly you have no problems... correct? so could I tune the box to 28hz and be safe?
  14. Now the Rockford Fosgate Site said that the tuning Frequency for a P2 12" Sub is 39hz.. If I tune a box for 33hz will it do damage to the sub?
  15. Yea I have been looking at them kinetic battery's.. also when you tune a box for instance you gave the dimensions for a box tuned to 33hz.. what would the range of that box be? will it hit hard from 33hz to 80 hz?
  16. Also while I am at it... I have a volt meter on my battery and with my stereo off I idle at 13.6v and when I have the stereo on full tilt it fluctuates from 13.6v to 12.6v but never lower then 12.6v. Now would it be recommended to upgrade the alternator in this instance or not. My factory alternator put out 130amp stock. I was thinking of getting a 200amp alt but with this info would you think that it would still be necessary?
  17. Ok I measured the available space I have for a box.. should be plenty of room for 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P2 series subs. 45 1/2" Wide x 27" Deep x 17" High Just a hair over 12 cubic feet
  18. I will have to get my tape measure out and measure up the dimensions of the available space back there.
  19. Krannyman92, you are only 3 hours away from me.. My brother live up there in Palatine also
  20. Thanks for the info.. I just downloaded this program so I can analyze the songs now.. pretty sweet. Also I guess I will lower my low pass crossover settings.
  21. The amp is set in low pass and crossover is set between 120 and 160
