He doesnt have any paper work on motor swap... none of the AC stuff is there, besides compressor. BTW His dad is a mechanic and oil gets changed every 3k miles. Car does seem clean, needs a little TLC on the inside but motor wise it idles and runs fine and i didnt hear any knocking.. I test drove it. oh and he replaced motor mounts not to long ago...

it had 120000 on it.... and yea i know he could rip me off... but what do you guys think?

Ok so heres how it is... im looking at buying a 1992 honda civic dx hatchback. i wanna know if you think price is right or what i should offer. The car was just painted at like an econo paint, insided has a newer dash (with air bags). power windows and locks, no back seats, however interior is pretty clean. Heres where price could vary... has a motor out of a newer civic (96-00), unkown mileage and age. all stock except intake, valves bigger than stock and exhuast.. has a small body kit (nothin crazy). engine is very clean.. its a friend of mine sellin it so i believe hes being honest... but hes asking me 2400 for it... what do you guys think?

Well i was just wondering, am i better off not cutting through my single cab sonoma and just trying to find an extended-cab one. Wont it lower the value off my truck alot..? EDIT-- if i decided to sell it in the future

So as some of you guys know i have been going to do a blow through on my sonoma, I have been waiting because of funding... (almost there!! lol). But just recently was i told by like 4 guys at an audio shop that i should do 12's instead of 15's? they said 12's would just sound better and that putting 15's in would just be stupid... I would like to put the 15's in because i would think that it would be louder... but if it would sound like crap whats the point... i guess im asking have you guys seen a blowthrough with 15's and it sound good?

ok so you guys recommend wiring it to 4ohm. but what if he just runs a + and - from one side of the woofers terminals and bridges it to the amp? and what ohm load would that be? and yes D2 woofer.. and since it has two terminals on the woofer it has two coils... they arnt connected so wouldnt it be just like a single voice coil sub? and if it was done like that what ohm load would the single coil be ran at?

wouldnt hooking each channel up to a each coil be the same as bridging the amp and wiring sub to 4ohm's?? he has a soundstream T5 12 (900 rms) and a rockford p5002. How would he wire it to be the loudest it can be with that amp...

the reason why i was asking is because my friend has a class A/B amp and the lowest it can be bridged at is 2 ohm... and his woofer is a 2ohm dvc sub, which he can wire it to 1 ohm or 4 ohm... the amp cant handle 1ohm and at 4ohm it only puts out 250 rms. so he asked me if it would be better to just hook up one side (coil) and run the one coil at 2ohm...

ok so is it bad if you have a dvc subwoofer but you only hook up one side? it just cuts the rms in half right?

It is a Pioneer DEH-1500. and yea theres only one small fuse 10amp, but its fine

ok, well i hooked up another speaker to the wires real close to the head unit and i get no sound.. so did my head unit take a crap then..? lol

ok well i have takin my dash apart only to find that the fuse is still fine!!! so maybe mine is getting partially grounded could my ground wire be fried since my amp was grounded threw rca's?

ok man, thanks a ton!!!!!!! hopfully it has a fuse, because i just tested a speaker and it works fine... how could have the fuse blown tho?
