  1. 1" mdf all around. 6 cu ft. It is tuned to 32 Hz. 16"X6" port. 33.23" long. The sub displacement, port, and port walls are already taken into the cu ft and tuning calculation. Will this be a good box for the orion?

    ORION HCCA sub dual 2 ohm - $300 + shipping

    I have an orion hcca dual 2 ohm subwoofer. It has less that 30 min of play time on a Kole KX1-5500D amp. It still needs to be broken in. My plans have changed, so this thing needs to go. This Orion is LOUD! I also have a 1" mdf box built to orion's specs.

    The new Orion HCCA subwoofers are the baddest subs on the planet. Hands down. You could call our HCCA sub a “super woofer”, but really it's the superior woofer! With its massive 3" high temp voice coil and immense motor, this subwoofer can reach as much as 4" of travel. And everyone knows that more travel equals more BASS!

    If you blow the subwoofer, there is a replacement cone kit that allows you to easily swap out the blown/burned voice coil and surround with a new one. The replacement kit allows you to keep the magnet and basket, therefore saving money as you do not need to buy a new sub.

  3. wait, so you have 4 dual 2 ohm subs..could you wire them to 4 ohms instead of 1? I think it would make the amp more efficient = less power draw. At least it would help with the dimming of your lights ans stuff.. ha im having a hard time visualizing how the wiring would work for 4 subs
