Here are my final picks. I'm leaning towards the hifonics subs because they are cheaper, but I also like the SPL subs I found.
Amp #1 = Crunch p1500.1 (RMS 750 x 1 @ 1ohm here)
Amp #2 = Power Acoustik BAMF-2000/1D (RMS 1200 x 1 @ 1ohm here)
Subs #1 = Hifonics B12D4 (600W RMS, Dual 4-ohm here)
Subs #2 = SPL SP2-12 (600W RMS, Dual 4-ohm here)
I'm leaning towards the PA amp as it will hit the RMS of both subs w/ 1200 watt RMS, and it's peak output is well below the max of both subs. What do you guys think? Good setup? And I'm thinking a ported box with a 3" diameter port tuned to 34hz with a volume of 2.6 ft^3 (31 x 14 x 14. It's the best I can do with the shitty cargo space I have in my car.) made out of 3/4" MDF. The biggest box I could fit in my car is 32.5 x 15.5 x 14, and that's stretching it.

a 500 watt amp could blow 2 400w rms subs. its all about clean power...ie no clipping.
loud and low is ported all the way
So, that 1000 watt amp I found would rip them to shreds. In that case, I suspect I shall keep looking. And if I'm reading what you're talking about correctly, a 600 watt amp at 1 ohm can cleanly power two 600 watt subs. Am I right?

Two more questions then I'm going to get this show on the road.
1) Would a 1000 watt amp (@ 1-ohm) blow two 400W RMS subs?
2) When it comes to audio, sealed or ported? I want my stuff to be loud and hit low.

since you mention budget and everyone here is talking about the main components, have you also considered the cost of everything else, such as wiring, connectors, fuseblocks, powerwire for the HO alt/big 3 etc?
I'm finding that wiring is becoming my biggest problem, I still need a bunch of 1/0 and other odds and ends that will likely cost me close to $400 ($100 of which is the 1/0) for just the stuff needed to power/wire the amp, subs and head unit that I've spent $400+ on already, (KDC-MP538U, Dual XPA4100, and Insignia party pak) there is also the boxes im building, and the amp racks I will need to build, cost of fiberglass to build the racks, the component speakers I need for my cab, and i'm sure other crap I can't think of.
wen I think about this it makes me sad because it's been over a year and I still can't afford everything I need to get it in, and I don't really have any resources to help me with the stuff that I really need help with.... it's looking like another year or two or longer before I can finally install my god damn system.
I have taken wiring and what not into consideration. I found a nice wiring kit that gets what I need done. I'm going to try and get by with my stock alternator, might throw a capacitor on there as well (if that'll save the electrical system). Speaker wiring isn't even going to be considered. I've working on home audio before, so I have a massive spool of quality wire.
IMHO if you on a budget, there is no better bang for your buck than the Kicker CVR'sI thought about the CVR's, but I decided against them a long time ago.
Again, Pioneer or Hifonics for the subs? I can get either of them for below 100 bucks each.

I've broken my list down even more. I'm stuck between the following:
Subs:
Hifonics ZX12D4/ZX12D2 or Pioneer TS-W308D4/TS-W308D2 (DVC 4 ohm/DVC 2 ohm)
RMS values = 500 for the Hifonics, and 400 for the Pioneers.
Amps:
Autotek SM1-1000 (1kw RMS @ 1 Ohm), Crunch P1500.1 (750w RMS @ 1 Ohm), or Crunch P1000.1 (500w RMS @ 1 Ohm).
Do remember that I'll be getting two subs and preferably wiring them at 1 Ohm which should be all that hard.
EDIT: Sealed or ported?

When you add the bass to your car, it might be hard to hear the mids and highs, it could very well drown it out, so looking for a 4ch amp will be in your future very soon
Not to mention new speakers. I mean, I've been in loud cars before...but nothing that's absolutely WTFBBQ loud. If I crank my stereo up loud enough, it actually feels like I've got tiny little 8's in the back. I'm impressed with what my cars stock stuff can put out. I think they are 20W RMS 40W peak. Which is crappy...but hey, they're stock.
EDIT: What's your opinions on RF P2 subs?

when looking at amps, dont look at *max/Dynamic/Peak* power at all... always look at RMS values, that wont be that bad for it but i suggest
http://www.caraudiodeals.com/audiopipe-ap15001d-p-1452.html
that one does very close to rated 1500 rms... if not more.
RMS values...alright. I'll see what I can find.
have u looked into a 4ch so u chan hear everything or r u just worried about bassMid & Treble isn't much of a concern right now. For the time being, I'm going to stick with my stock speakers which can handle the power load that my new receiver will put out. Once they fry themselves or I shove a screwdriver through them in anger, I'll replace them and possibly upgrade with a 4 channel amp.

Alright then...here's what I want to get to save some cash:
amp = http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11671_...ch+P1500.1.html
sub x 2 = http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12409_...nics+B12D4.html
Or I can get the two RE's. If I do go for the RE's, it looks like I'm going to have to bust my ass over the next month or so to gather up the cash for them. I'd love to have the RE's, it's just that they're a tad bit out of my budget. I mean, I am 16 who's got a website to run, two others to moderate, soccer to deal with, ebay to manage, and a life of my own. Mind sliding me a couple hundred bucks?
My questions are:
1) Will that amp do nicely with either of the subs I have listed?
2) Will my cars stock 95 amp alternator be enough to supply power to the amp, new head unit, and charging system?
-
Is it cool to post links to stuff on here? Last place I was on bitched at me because I was linking websites. > _ <

I was leaning towards the RE's in the beginning. I had heard good things about the hifonics subs. I'll dig around and see what amp I can find.

Alright...by the end of the summer, I'm planning on getting a system for my car. Already on my list is a 220 amp alternator for it (a 1998 Honda CR-V). Now, I'm a VERY tight budget so get a massive amplifier is out of the question along with big high powered subs. What I have planned so far:
Alternator = Power Bastards 220 amp for Domestics and Imports (Fitzall-220)
Subs = 2 x Hifonics B12D4/2x Hifonics B12D2 or 2 x RE Audio SE12 (if those are even out there still)
Amp = (if I go with the Hifonics subs) 1 x Hifonics BXi 2010D or (if I go with the RE's) 1 x Hifonics BXi 2608D
Receiver = 1 x Pioneer DEH-P6000UB
This will be my first build, so any and all help would be awesome. I'm leaning towards the RE's, but I'm not entirely sure yet. Fi, Rockford, and the higher end Kickers, unless I can find a good ass deal are out of the question.
Looking for some decals!

Well...two different ones. I'm looking for a Kenwood decal that's large enough that when I put it on either my windshield or my rear hatch, it'll be visible from 50 feet away. But I definitely don't feel like paying 20 bucks for one. And a honda decal would be nice too. Any recommendations as to where to look? I might get a pack of 3 9" x 1.5" kenwood decals for like 3 bucks.
