    They dont make their rated power, and they often get warm or hot.

    That being said, i would still run them.

    For the price they work. you just have to keep in mind to get an amp that will do more than you need because most of them arent doing their full power. I had a friend run the gothic series amps, one was the 1000 watt monoblock, the other was the 800 watt 4 channel. The monoblock did about 700 watts at 1 ohm without getting too warm, and the 4 chan did about 50x4.

    He paid 275 for both amps, new in box, so i think he got a good deal, i know he was happy.

    is there a specific way to check the actual watts the amps r puttin out??

    Loud clarity. My polks are pretty good. They are way better that the Alpine type-s I had before, those were pretty harsh. I currently have 4 5x7 2-way is how they come. I still have a set of same model 6x9 3-way and 6-1/2 components and the 6x9 and comp setup was better than my new 5x7 but that is all that will fit in my truck without mods. Someday I'll have a T8004 and hook them all up at once :D I have never heard 5-way so I cant judge there but I heard some kenwood excelon 4-way and wasnt impressed. I think any speaker can get "screaming" if not setup right or driven too hard.

    yea ur right...i guess its the setup...i may 'borrow' sumbody elses 2 ways to c wat i can do and how they'll sound in my car...

    Personally I would do 2-way or 3-way. I see what you are saying, I just think 4-way or 5-way is just a wow factor. Others may feel differently. May I ask what speakers you are looking at?

    well actually i already have pioneer 5-ways and the clarity is freakin amazing...what i've noticed with the 2 and 3 ways that people i kno have, is that they scream...im all for loudness but not when its an irritation...with my 5-ways u can turn it up and hear the tweeters in em clearly and im heard from a distance...(i personally like distance over the screamin in the car...for all that ida left it stock!) but i really cant talk until i install some in my car for myself! its probably the way they have it tuned that i dont like...2/3 ways r probably better but i wont kno until i test them in my car...just out of curiousity, do u like the screaming or loud clarity?

    my headunit is grounded of the wiring harness wherever te factory harness is grounded

    what if i power the eq off of the power antenna output of the headunit or just splice it in to the power of the wiring harness

    im going to move the ground back where the he unit harness is

    my amps are grounded to the battery less than 3 feet

    the second battery is grounded to the frame by the tailight and to a bolt that secures the factory tire jack housing

    did u sand and make that ground urself or was it jsut a hole that was already there?? sanding helps u get ALL the ground...wat i did wit my eq was basically run that straight to my radio...power to the radio's power, remote to the power ant., and ground to the radios ground...dont kno how others feel about that but it works perfectly fine to me! u should try that and while ur shit is still ripped out of the dash, (so u dont have to take it bak out if it didnt work) turn it on and check it out...

    i forgot to tell yall!!! i did it and my amp went into protection mode (to not blow the tweeters)...they sounded nice at the volume they were at right b4 they cut out tho...good little experience...i need sum higher quality 1's now so i can makem scream like i did to those kids' mom :spiteful:

    FINALLY SUM 1 AGREES!!! ppl just call me crazy for that shit...they're like, "we're gonna get there dont worry about it" FUK THAT! ppl put on brakes going downhill n shit...i should not b able to catch up to u when im coastin! im all for safety but y the hell r u actually doin 25 mph?! yesterday i was on I-95 goin to court...im doin like 80, then the next thing i kno, there r a million cars outta freakin nowhere!! now my ass in on an interstate doin 15mph...15!! u kno how freakin slow that feels?! especially after doin 80! then this dumbass lady decides she wants to 'try' to cut in front of me...then her dumbass gets bak over when she sees im still comin...smh... :censored: ended up bein late...complete :bsflag:
