  1. I can't believe I remembered my old logins! I haven't done audio in YEARS! But I just grabbed me my first (fixer upper) SUV and was like, "Back in the day, I always said I'd do something crazy if I got me an SUV." This is the only audio forum I've ever been a part of so... Here I am, checking you guys out lol. Coincidentally, I asked this same question as I was typing the website in 😂.

To answer your question though, I got away from audio and started  building me some "fast" stuff. I got this SUV with a blown head gasket for the winter just to have a 4wd beater so I didn't have to drive my fun cars in the crappy weather. Once I did the gasket, that itch came back like crazy, VERY QUICKLY lol. So Im now actively installing some old stuff that I had in plastic from the last car I did audio in, God knows how long ago, just hoping it'll hold me over and not make me wanna spend some money 😂

But, Hi all! Good to see y'all AND the site are still kicking!

  2. Id give more input, but ive never paid under $500 for a 4 channel because I like mah quality and big powa.

Haha okay then. I guess "It's the thought that counts" could work here. I guess I'm done here unless someone knows someone that's selling something within my "needs."

  3. yeah i really want the DC175.4 but i cant afford it now. I heard AMAZING reviews about it, from DC dealers. CJ told me he loves his. its def the way to go, if u have the money that is.

Yea. I'm post buying a house so I'm SORTA budgeting I guess. I'm selling the old to get the "new to me with more power." Only for slight upgrades in my car just to keep me sane.

Any one have any other references close to those specs? (125 per chan @ 4 ohm)

  4. Even an aq4x90 is like $300 new. The 175.4 puts out over twice that power...how is that steep at $380 for an amp that is brand new?

Not necessarily for the brand new amp. I posted here kinda looking for a lower price due to it being 'used' is all.

  5. i am actually getting a 4.125 from one of my friends. Im pumped i have heard that the MB Quart 4chan amps aren't bad for the price.

Lucky you! I'm like, my only friend in car audio lol.. If you get yours before I get something, could you let me know what you think?

  6. Type Rs in this case...they should still be cheaper imo, but meh.

Buddy at work says hes running 2k a piece to his 15 Type Rs. :peepwall:

DISCLAIMER: This is coming from the same guy who has 23s on his stock suspension on his oldsmobile type car(cant remember the name) and wanted to put my old kenwood 2 channel sub amp on his highs.

Lol.. Poor guy.. I wouldn't do THAT (or anything he did wrong for that matter & even though it probably isn't 2k), but they're still some pretty good subs. Unanimously decided, get the Type R.

  7. I currently have a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE that I sometimes, "open up" on the highway. Everything's fine and dandy but, I feel like I could go for a stiffer suspension when coming around corners. My only issue is that I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for coilovers or struts and springs. Basically I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations as far as INEXPENSIVE assemblies come. Good but, inexpensive. I know this is one of those things you shouldn't go cheap on but I'm just looking for a good deal with good results. I don't want to be too low but I can deal with an inch or so in the front with as minimal drop as possible in the back. It's low enough as is with all the weight back there. I honestly want to stay under $500 for the parts if possible. Thanks

  8. my first box build was made out of whatever i could scavange from the neighborhood or the field down the street. Some plywood and an old basketball backboard. Picture a box with multiple types of wood, particle board and whatever else......and a partial red square on the back side lol.

sorry guys, i have no pictures. In my day we didnt have digital camera's........the closest thing was a polaroid and that was for rich folks @ a buck a photo.

    ahhhh the memories though!

lol.. I'm curious how it sounded

    She was my first

that's nice.. what did you use to get that color??

Yeah like they said it's just textured paint I got from advanced autoparts nothing special. I gotta look into the sem stuff though for my pillars

oh ok.. i was even researching on here and someone (my bad for not remembering who) said they used Rust-oleum American accent stone.. Shoot, as of right now, it's wherever the low price is!

Lol at a red square on one side I think I want to paint one on. My biz for the he'll of it I even have the paint already haha

lol.. you should do something outrageous like a... Metallic Lime Green lol!
