  1. damn yo, who did it to you, those scratches? that shit is crazy

lmfao...i was messin wit this chic and she started gettin a little crazy when college time rolled around...like for instance she was at my house for almost 2 days and i asked, "wat time u want me to take u home?" she started snappin sayin, "oh so u kickin me out?!" i said to hell wit that! put on ur shit and come on...broke up wit her that night and 3 weeks later...THAT happened... my advice is when u think ur gonna break up wit a chic and she's crazy, make the sex whack! lol then she wont b so 'attached'... :acute: lol i told my new girl i was shootin the next one and she's takin it pretty well lmfao...

  2. If you've still got a clutch fan then it makes sense that the voltage drops when it engages. It draws HP from the extra resistance on the crank pulley, this can cause the belt to slip slightly if it is older and cause a momentary drop in voltage from the alt. I would get a smaller pulley on the alt and put a new belt on the car before doing anything else to see if it fixes the problem. Next step is the big 3, then alternator and batteries.

sounds educational and informational...lol...ima do it...thanks

  3. Big 3 helps because you increase the size of the wire allowing more current to flow.

you are essentially restricted by the size of your ground and power off your alternator right now because they are so small.

when you do the Big 3 keep the stock wires and just add on to whats currently there with some nice 1/0

    yea...so u think that'll stop the drop??

  4. when im driving at night and my fans cut on, i hear a drop in my system volume for a brief second. (may sound like nuffin but its annoying after a while) im guessing its a voltage drop. i still have my stock alternator and was wondering if it would make a difference if i did the big 3 now...(i am planning to get a new alternator later down the line) would i get a more constant voltage??

  5. i met a guy a few weeks back or a year w.e same shit he had 2 dual 10's in a plexiglass/wood box and he had only one woofer hooked up but was amazed that the other one was moving until i told him its that one's sub's pressure thats moving the other one but he said nuh hhaa. my friend told me its magnetic movement some bullshit..

yea...i've heard of house speakers being made like this...(mostly the old towers)...it only was to make the frequency lower or sum crap like that...

  6. Thats what i was tryin to say, you would have a tiny bit of output cuz its theory, but in reality nothing is perfect. So he would have definately known, i was just saying it wouldda made a bigger impact than your post made it seem, thats all.

i understand... but really, i took the wires straight off of the amp and put the - to the - on the battery and the 1 from the + on the amp to the + on the battery and the sub was moving inward...i switched it and i really didnt notice a difference...this really became a ? when i heard sum1 talkin about a layout where 2 subs were in and 2 where out of phase. one that was in was facing one that was out... (i wouldnt do that but...it just caught my attention)

  7. Theory doesn't always translate into reality. I've tried it myself with two subs. I could hear the sound, but it was noticeably muted. The 700 watt amp powering them sounded more like a 50 watt.

i think ima take my subs out the box to c how they're wired...(i bought them in the box already...) make sure they're wired how they're supposed to b...

  8. If your subs were out of phase from the beginning, you would have been VERY unhappy with your system so far.

What kind of amp are you using?

my favorite bullshit 1200 watt sony xplod amp. lol which is definitely NOT near 1200 watts rms...i dont even kno the rms...but i still get a nice every day ride sound!

  9. If they were out of phase you shouldnt have gotten much if any sound iirc. I mean, the waves would cancel eachother out, and therefore there should be no sound. You sure it was out of phase?

yes sir...checked it wit a battery and it was movin inwards...i was getting sound. bass and all...just not sure if i cant tell the difference between then and now, besides the fact that i heard certain sounds more...i think

  10. just the other day, sumthin told me to check my polarity on all my speakers and realized that one of my subs was out of phase (2 12's)...i wired it correctly and im not sure if i hear or feel a difference...just curious if theres n e 1 that has half of their subs in phase and half out?? maybe i heard certain notes a little better when i had one outta phase...not too sure tho :unknw:
