I was wondering what the differences were if you were to go with a box as big as a company says to go, or as small as a company says to go? how will it affect a woofer? like if a company says ported-1.75-2.5...which would perform better? any input appreciated...anymore info or explaining what i mean better ill try...didnt know how to go about askng this!

i hear you man go for it...its a good woofer. imo

I like it, it gets really loud. As for what it meters at i dont know. These trucks are not known for metering well so probably not very high... give the sub a good aount of power and a good box and it will not dissapoint.

in my 2002 silverado my old center console box was 40.25 long X 13.5 tall X 14 wide...right around 2 feet^3 after port and sub displacement i think the port was 3.5 or 4 inches wide by 12.5 inches. Im not completely positive with those measurements though.

what kinda truck?
-
Can you get enough port area with that small of a space?
-
Isnt it also true that regular cab trucks dont meter all that well? Well from what ive heard...
-
thanks guys! ill look into all of these suggestions.

Smaller vs. Bigger

if you make the box bigger would the sub still be able to handle about the same amount of power or would you actually have to run less than in a smaller box?
