port area is still way too small, use this site to help you figure out your minimum port area for that sub:

Okay so im ditching the SOLO X idea, cause there's no way im gonna get 5000watts in my little civic right now. (Electrical)
Im in doubt between the 4 12's ported and 6 12's sealed. I want my stuff to be loud but sound good at the same time. (Flat response curve)
Maybe i should get 6 12s and make a sealed box at first and when i change my mind make it a ported box?
I want to know if the extra 2 12s' cone area would make a big difference!
Thanks for the replies people!
Pretty sure the 4 12s' port would make up for the 2 extra 12s' cone area....

That's like a leaking sealed box 4 that sub...!
your minimum port area 4 that sub @34hz should be 146sq.in.

whats the best set up for 15's in a ported box?
im doing an audio project for my senior project
the box and everything is going into a 1997 ford expedition
thanks for the help
On second thought, there is no "best" set up, every one has different taste, there are thousands of options for you, the best set up is what works for you...

And why did u tell him the best "Funky pups + a poopin fonk"???
??

well i didnt know shoot give me a break im new to this stuff i thought there was such thing as a sub and amp combo. i heard it isnt good to mix manufactures (example JL subs with a sony amp) i dont mean to like be a bug with this post. just wanting to know what everyone else thought or some help maybe. but ok...
I agree with wonderbreadSTS, enough power for the subs & gains set correctly would be the best combo...
NEVER power jl subs with "sony" amps!

I am retarded and trying to do too much at one time, lol, sorry there 15"s
Im sorry, but i had to laugh!...but yea, 6ft3 net volume ported after displacements would be perfect.(those subs aren't made for sealed enclosures)

Maybe color match the spokes (not the dish) so i can see what it looks like?
It's like you read my mind!

any body know where i can purchase an Infiniti j30 dash kit? would i need a special harness to keep the bose system?
-
EXACTLY...those all in one home theater setups usually dont have a protection circuit on the amp output stage..itll just blow that channel..i dont know how many guys i saw in highschool ruin equipment by just adding speakers
I remember back in seventh grade, i had a home theater system and didn't know much about impedance loads and hooked up 4 10's(all parallel) and the system blew after a few seconds...
-
Is there anyway to hook up a second subwoofer to a surround sound, it would be a phillips surround sound?
Just make sure the impedance load is at or above what the receiver is stable at...

the v6 in those things suck. terrible throttle response and no power. if you get one of those you definately have to get it with the hemi.
Same with the 6 cylinder 300C...

since you're not doing a round or square port, you can ignore the diameter & length for a square vent...
right, you would have to come up with at least 137.44sq.in.(@32hz) of port area to avoid port noise....
