Sorry, thread jacking coming through, but does anyone know the net volume of that box, or is that TDH confidential?
-
I got it!! Audioaddict thanks for the help! I did wrinkle a corner of it while being pissed off but the tint is so dark it isnt visible at least not at night, but when i get more money i will redo it. Other then the wrinkle it came out perfect! Looks pro
Tomaro ill give the windows a shot!
Fixed?lol.
No problem man. Yea, I would encourage you to re-do it, the more practice, the better!

I have a heat gun. Trying it as we speak.. Does it need to be heated up for awhile cuz its acting the same...
When it's already applied on the glass, you heat the glass(on the outside of the car), not the film itself, & squeegee until it lays down...also, try not to overheat it..
Before applying to the glass you should cut film to glass size, & lay it on the glass, squeegee all "wrinkles"/"fingers" to the top & bottom edges of the film ONLY, grab the heatgun & as soon as it starts zig-zagging, lay it down with your hand while wearing a glove or with a hard card.
-
Definitely need to heat shrink it in order to do it right, but remember you can only shrink tint up & down.

how good are you in doing custom boxes
Won't say I'm the best, but I try & since I got no job & a passion for building stuff, but this was my best box so far I think, off a CL client from Palmdale: http://www.stevemead...rted-enclosure/
not bad audioaddict I also build in SoCal. But hate posting on CL too much people wasting your time lol..
Thanks man. Yeah, that's very true, but then you get those people that are great to business with. Like I said, since I got no job, I gots to try something!
edit: where in SoCal you located?

The top gap will be filled with fiberglass, I just want to know how most people firmly mount the side panels.
-
It's for a 626, I'll post pics in a bit...
-
hell no people want everything cheap in CL trust me
Very true, but it won't hurt to try, I posted mine up & have had quite a few clients(incuding shops), most of them returning..

Cool work man. I'd suggest a Cl ad.

So I'm trying to panel my trunk, but I'm stuck on how to mount the side panels... Can anyone post pics/links of how it's done, cause I don't want to make a bunch of holes in the car if i don't have to, but I do want them to be nice & sturdy, since I'm gonna use them as storage compartments.
Thanks in advance.

Something similar happened to my buddy's system, the subs would make a loud "thump" noise when we turned car on or off, so we added a high-low instead of the outputs on the stereo & it got rid of the sound.

this one better !
That's cheating!lol. I only noticed the bear changing to a knight.
-
lol. This sh*t's funny, out of everyone I've showed no one's seem the bear & they all rewind it cause they don't believe the bear was there the first time!
...& now when I see cyclists on the road, I think "moonwalking bear".
-
Yea pretty much, holding the brake pedal is just to drain out any current left in the car's electrical system, & leave it disconnected for a few minutes.
-
I am going to throw this out there because i just got my car out of the shop 2 days ago. I was having issues with my throttle and they said i probably needed my throttle body cleaned and if that didnt work replacing my throttle body, which would have been about $800 for my Mazda 3.
But they cleaned and its running a little better now but from what I read once you get your throttle body cleaned it takes a while for the computer to get up to speed.
I think in that case you'd have to clean the whole intake manifold & the maf...not sure if it works the same for the 3 as my car, but it is recommended to reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative battery terminal & holding the brake pedal for 30 secs. after doing work on the engine.

Forgot to update, I got my car running good, it just needed new spark plug wires(Also changed the cap & rotor).

Agreed...But when the "law" doesn't do anything about it, then wtf are we paying taxes for?!?! Cops just sit on their ass til they see something "illegal" on your car so they can pull you over.
