  1. Next question... I'm probably going to get the 18... sub will have to be facing forward should I make it port up, port forward, or too the side? was thinking forward... amps on top of the box...
  2. also 4 brutus 15s would stick me at 2 ohms cause they're dual 4s... As for Electrical I'm going to have a 60 amp alt and a 150 amp alt stock battery and an optima yellow top... probably 3 runs of 2g wire...
  3. Its gonna be in an extended cab yota... I would wall it for 4 15s... with the 18 I was thinkin about stayin' below the back glass... I like the fact the AQ stuff can be repaired lol if I blow a hifonics I gotta buy another one... Given the brutus 15s are only like 100 bucks a peice... The 4 15s would also be about 100 bucks more expensive and I think the aq2200 would murder them... lol
  4. I've always liked Audioque stuff, I know its high quality... and also I'm pretty sure the 1 18 and 2200 would be as loud as 8 HFi 12s... and I won't have to worry about killing it... Plus the wow factor like someone said above... Also its in my price range still...
  5. Ok... so i've decided on an Audioque HDC3 18 and an AQ2200... Should I get a dual 1 and run it at .5 ohms... I'm thinking with imp. rise I should AT LEAST be at 1 ohm... Or get a dual 2 so I can run at 1 ohm and be safe? Like I said... I will be running a stock alt, plus an extra 150~amp alt, and have 1 extra battery... If I need another battery I'll get one... I just need some suggestions guys... Vehicle is a 90 Toyota pickup 22re, extended cab... Will have pics up next week when the truck gets to my house and I start ordering stufff
  6. Okay... How about an Audioque HDC3 18 and an Audioque 1200? Anyone know if the Audioque 1200 will run at .5 ohm daily?
  7. I'm gonna have a stock alt. and an extra 150amp alt. and a normal battery and an extra optima yellow top... I'm hoping I won't have a whole lot of voltage drop... Any suggestions for subs that'll take around 2500w? I'd like to try the 8 12s... worst case I think I could sell them to a bunch of people around here and get my money back... I would like to hear suggestions tho... 400 bucks is the limit for sub/s
  8. Oh does anyone have any idea why the amp will actually do? This will be my first big system... I always wanted to do a wall... something people would be like WTF is that? lol
  9. Well the other option is 4 Hifonics Brutus 15s.... That would be around 400 bucks just for subs... but I can do that...
  10. I'm thinking about running 8 Hifonics HFi 12s in a wall in my extended cab toyota pickup, at 1 ohm on a Hifonics HFi2500D Will I kill these subs? Will they last at all? I have a couple other options.. It just seems like this would be pretty loud for just 500 bucks...
  11. I'm only talkin' about 1 kind of sub... 4 12" passive radiators in the cab as opposed to having the box ported into the cab...
  12. Ok... I have had another idea... What if... I built a passive radiatior set up with the 2 15s facing the tailgate and 4 12" PRs in the cab? I've found all the calculations to tune it and stuff like that... I think it would be a cool idea but I'm curious about how effective this would be...
  13. I have been doing research on building 6th order boxes but I can't figure out how decide how big each side of the box needs to be or how to tune it.
  14. Thats why the first thing that ran thru my mind when brainstorming for the truck was to check here EXO... haha I love your van BTW... I agree with the 6th order being a better idea... I was thinking about it but didn't know exactly what it was called... How do you figure out the size the box needs to be? I've got plenty of room to work with... I appreciate the help guys...
