is this thinking correct? if i have a box that is 42w at the top and 62 wide at the bottom can i take the average of them 2 numbers so i can get the cuft of a box?

I think that would give you a decent estimate, but to actually do it, split the box up in to two parts, the rectangle box and then the front triangle shape, then act like the triangle is a box and find the cubic volume then half it and add the two together.. not confusing at all lol
