Yea manG, I wanna learn how to do all this stuff... I definatly dont feel like spending $600-1000 for a box and a cut through in my car lol. I'm trying to learn to do all this like Meade and everyone else on here does... I'm just trying to get informed before I do anything stupid. HAHA. I think it'll be beneficial for me to know how to do all of this stuff because at my age and I look around and see what our future generations are headed for because everyone is afraid to do manual labor now and would rather have mommy and daddy pay for it to get done. If my generation (17 years old) doesn't do something fast, our country's headed for a major downfall. Just my .02 cents  ;D

Yea man, I am kinda scared to cut lol, I dont wanna mess anything up to the point of not being replacable... So you're saying you cut out all of the metal on the back deck? or just the part where your blow through is?  Would I be better off just replacing my 6x9's and cutting the blow hole through the plastic and the metal? Basically keep the plastic stock look, cut out the hole and cover the hole w/ the matching grill cloth...?

Ok, so now I need to know... either 12" Fi Q, 12" S.i. MAg, 2 12" AudioQue SD2.5's... I can get the MAG for $350 and possibly cheaper due to the group buy going on on ecoustics.com... So which sub for the best spl/sq set up?

hey guys, IDK why I didn't think of these in the first place... How about 2 12" AudioQue SD2.5's??? I could downfire those with port facing rear... get loud you think?

I'm looking to use my stock 6x9 holes as my way for the air to get straight into the cabin, so I'm doing 6.5"s in the rear deck somehow or another.

Where can I get pictures of Steve's civic's rear deck before it was stolen...? I heard he had the 6.5" components back there and was utelizing a blow through... I just wanted to get some pictures and ideas of how he did it, I'm wanting to give it a shot.

Yo thanks, you guys have been so helpful... I'm not sure if my dad's gonna go for letting me cut the back dash up 'cause he payed for like 75% of the car. So I may have to find another way around that. I'll look for some nice 2 channel amps in the mean time. Again, I can't thank you guys enough!!!

Aight, so here's what I'm looking at...

Sub - Either 12" Q or 12" Mag

Amp - Memphis MC1000d

Components - Alpine Type R

Component amp - ?

Alt. - 180 amp from iraggi

Battery - Kenetik HC1400

Box - 2.2 cu. ft tuned to 31 hz w/ the cut out in the rear deck

Any suggestions? Still need the component amp.

What would be the problem if there were sharp edges? I figured I would have to weld because their's the top plastic piece I could cut through but then there's the metal underneath the plastic piece. So now I need to have the port facing up? lol

So you're sayin cut a square out of the center of my rear deck to connect the air directly from the trunk to the cabin? I've seen that done before but the port from the box connected to that hole. I don't know how to figure out the tuning for a box like that... I also dont know if I can do the welding for something like that myself, any other way to do it besides welding? If I can get help from people on here to do it then I'll give it a try. So what component amp do you reccomend?

I have the coupe so I'm only replacing the frontstage, so 1 set (2 6.5" speakers and 2 tweeters). Do you think I'll be alright getting rid of my rear deck speakers to let the bass through? Will it be that big of a difference without the 6x9's?

So i need to downfire my subs with the port facing the license plate for the best sounding spl correct? Was what I said about the 6x9s a good idea also? And which sub(s) should I do with that amp?
