  1. hi, just lookin too buy a kicker warhorse not looking too spend 2 grand. Im hoping too get one somwere around 1100-1500, 1500 uooer end at 1500 if new with warrenty 1100-1350 n up "used". I am looking for a good condition used warhorse or"preferred new". if you have another amps for offer to me, you will have to make it well worth it.

anyways i had a few opertunities to get it for 1000-1350 new with warrenty. but funds where just short at the time.Even if u know someone who knows someone who will sell me the amp please thanks guys.

  2. SO WAIT A MINUTE...

SO THE QUESTION IM REALLY TRYING TO ASK IS...

HOW THE FUCK DOES THE JBLGTI6000 DO more power with higher ohms?

or it it just a very magical amp that other compainies should look into cuz that is BEAST. lol

im not a fan of buying more alternators...

just increase voltage, i find it stupid too run 6-7 runs of 0gauge wire when i can just run two lines, and do the same thing.

I think other companies should realllly look into this.

the jblgti6000 is a step into future amplifers in my opinion.

  3. Plus an amp at 4 ohms will be a lot more efficient than any amp will be at 1 ohm

Ding ding ding. 1K rms at 4 ohms is gonna have less current draw and require a less robust electrical system than 1K rms at 1 ohm. This is purely due to how the amplifier works. 4ohms is much more efficient than 1 ohm. Many amps you'll see numbers like

    500 rms @ 4 ohms

    800 rms @ 2 ohms

    1000 rms @ 1 ohm

Lower impedances require more power due to lesser efficiency. That stated, it's still usually cheaper to get an amp to do 1K @ 1 or 2 ohms than to get one that does 1K at 4 ohms. The difference in electrical system requirements isn't big enough to make a cost difference. That really only comes into play if you're running below 1 ohm for competitions or feel the need to run .5 ohms daily.

    FINALLY I GET IT!!!

so that all means amps like the jblgti6000 that does alittle over 8k rms at 4ohms, simply does the same thing watts wise, just draws alot less power thru my wire too supply the amp.

    so the difference is...

hifonics sampson at 1ohm does 8k but draws current a different way.

the jbl is going too be better cuz its gunna draw less amps, to do the same power cuz the voltage makes up the difference?

thus the difference isnt seen on the meter, but on the alternator? lol YAY

    correct?

  4. OKK

alot of people have asked this question...

Whats better a small load or large load.? lol

well thats kinda what im asking but...

ok so if i take a load of 1ohm off a 10" sub, hook it up too an amp that's stable at 1ohm and puts out 1k watts at that impedance.

now heres the twist. Im not asking what would be better on "THAT" AMP.

Cuz i "KNOW" ill just get less power out the amp at 4 ohm DUE TOO THE LOAD.

Now... If i go an grab another amp that does 1krms at 4ohmms.

Now on overview of this is

    x1 sub "1ohm" on 1k rms

    x1 sub "4ohm" on 1k rms

The 4ohm load will require alot more volts. and cost more money, cuz its harder too do 1k at 4ohms.

has anyone ATUCALLY TESTED this and prooven it?!?!

isnt my sub gunna be seeing more power overall?!?!? its deffinitly seeing more voltage.

how can this not affect ANYHTING.just dont make sense too me. WHY?!?!?!

  5. Ok well. Im sittin here on my day off smokin on some reggie...

I think too myself... What if I or someone made a 24+ subwoofer build not just tuned low but...

Well ok...The human ear goes down to 15hz or so right?..

What if someone tuned an enclosure to 15hz and really gave it some power?

Does anyone really know what would happen?

What sub would be good to use for this, I was pondering on maybe some good excursion/highoutput subs. at about 1k ea or more if I do it with the amp Im thinking about.

The hifonics sampson, I am highly attracted to the amp, cosmetically and output.

I was thinking maybe 3 8ks on 24 subs that can do it clean and loud

since its such low freq. Im assuming Ill need a 10" woofer thats rated at around 1.5k to play 1k of 15hz maybe more I dunno what do you guys think?

What kinda of db u think this power mixed with a well designed/built enclosure woudl come out with?

think maybe 155+ db 15hz? no?

  6. its simple, resin helps, because mdf technically is still slightly porous. So it helps to seal things up especially if a few things, joints, connections etc arent perfect.

its kind of messy and hard to get perfectly smooth. i mean really unless your serious about your numbers or you make alot of mistakes you would be ok w/o resin. its mostly for shit and giggles unless like i said your going to be competing or your craftsmanship is iffy.

and stop bumping. like once a day is ok, if anything ppl will be less likely to help for bumping. patience bro

well my design is 10/10 but my build went pretty good too i think imma use 3-4 coats for shits n giggles.

Wheres can i buy some online? and also do i apply it on the interior of the box only or both?

  7. ok well ill prolly do 3-4 coats but do i apply it on the interior only or exterior too?

i wanna know everything bout this stuff i shuld know.

my system is gunna be daily, and my box is a ported horn hybrid designed by a dude on here who designed another box for x1 15" that did a nice hairtrick on 1k
