  1. lol ive got 3 sets of midbass drivers going in on each door. two sets of mp8's from crescendo and a set of dayton 6's and two sets of super tweeters. one set from crescendo that have the 5.5khz inline bass blocker and then the aq super tweeters. i just need more power and was going to look into two 200.2 but i saw the xover was the same as the 120.4 so i just asked about the xover. haha
  2. i thought at those point the octaves slope off... not stop
  3. Ohhhhh. well im glad you cleared that up. cause im not really familiar with mids and highs and crossover points. thanks
  4. http://www.audioque....1204_p_150.html saying it only goes up to 5khz? Specifications Model AQ120.4 Dimensions 15.75" x 9" Input Sensitivity 8V~0.2V Low Pass Filter 50Hz ~ 5kHz High Pass Filter 20Hz ~ 5kHz Crossover HPF/FULL/LP-BP Remote Gain Control Included Clipping Display Led Yes Signal to Noise Ratio 105dB Damping Factor 200 < Bass Boost @45Hz 0~18dB External Fuse Rating 40A x 2 pcs 4 ohm power @ 14V 120Wx4 2 ohm power @ 14V 170Wx4 4 ohm mono power @ 14V 340Wx2 Power and Ground Inputs 4ga
  5. Just trying to decide if the impedance will work. My 4 chan is stable at 2 ohmx4 but if the mids are not reading but 6 ohm a piece my 4 chan probly won't like it Still would read 2 ohm for 3 drivers but idk
  6. Yeah right now I'm thinking another driver in a better position would help a lot. Seeing I have a wall the port is right by my head so I hear that over anything. Buying another set of drivers would be a cheaper way because I have a space on side of the seats closer to the doors to fit another driver
  7. Yeah I need more midrange though. They keep up but the bass is still drowning it out. Should I go more power or just wire up another mid. ?
  8. honestly do they ever? im lucky if i get my packages by 6 or 7pm Lol yeah it didn't get there until about 8 or so. But I figured it out. Some connections to the other missing mids were touching and causing the amp to protect. So it runs good I just didn't see the clips hanging into each other. Stupid things Oh well. Works and sounds great. Thanks guys.
  9. I just relocated the amp to inside the cab and took it off the side. I measured voltage to see if there was some crazy drop between power and grounds. And it stayed above 14. The amp is literally brand spanken new. I hope it was just some thermal issue or something to do with the impedance. I'm still waiting on UPS to deliver my othe mids but lord knows if they'll get here before 4
  10. i dont have another amp. run a dc 175.4 and see if it dose the same Nvm what the op said.lol hope yall are joking.. i just said i didnt have another 4 channel
  11. ill see what happens tomorrow i guess. thanks
  12. thats what i kinda think. its an extended cab. but the panel over the front block it off. its mounted inside behind the panels by the side window. behind the seat belt area..
  13. ive got the bass blockers for the super tweeters coming in tomorrow as well as the other mids from crescendo. so i guess ill recheck my crossovers and see what happens..
  14. some 8 ohm speakers, or 4 ohm for that matter, tend to read lower than stated. i've seen 8 ohm drivers on partsexpress that have an Re of like 5.something okay well only the mids that are in right now are parts express stuff the super tweeters are crescendo and they read like 5.8 and 6.0
  15. the amp is scoped. and honestly i dont know what the crossover setting is id have to look. my buddy set it and he does it all the time. and did it last time with no issues. my electrical is a 3400 and xp3000 and mechman 270. voltage doesnt drop below 13.9 at full tilt.
  16. this starts on the passenger side of the truck and the power and ground run under the box to the driver side to this
  17. As of right now all channels measure between 6-7 ohms. I find that weird seeing as how all are supposed to be at 8 ohm
  18. I'm gonna be pissed if I have to trash this amp. It took them 3 months to send me another
  19. It actually just went into protect again after 10 min of playing at a mid volume. I don't know what the deal is. The amp is brand new Edit: all I have to do is turn the radio off and back on. And it comes out of protect
  20. Id rather not keep throwing it into protect if I can figure out the problem without messing with it too much I'd rather do that
  21. It's grounded to my buss bars. And I'll just wait until the other mids are in tomorrow to see what happens.
  22. I've got an onx4.125 It's got 8ohm to each channel for the time being until more mids come in tomorrow. But it'll play all day at low volume but when I go full tilt it goes into protect after a few seconds of playtime. I felt the amp and it's pretty warm but definitely not toasty. Any ideas why this could be happening. I'm thinking it's because te impedance is too high and just causing too much heat too quickly. I'm not an amp guru so I'll take any advice. Tomorrow I'm getting two more mids and it will have both front channels wired to 8 ohm which is the super tweeter. an the two rear channels which are the two mids paralleled down to 4 ohm I had this on my previous amp which was the same amp just I screwed it up and the input signal was egged up. So they sent me a brand new amp and it's only had power for a couple days. Need help guys. Thanks
