  1. Build it, man. I would like to see the results.

ANd i just told you today i didnt want your blown lvl 3 12. haha... im planning on using the new lvl 3s when they come out. :)

    new lvl 3?

they're redesigning the motors for the level three. idk if we are supposed to be talking about the specs right now though. but basically better power handling.

  2. not all 4th orders are super peaky.

yours is really peaky because the ports are not allowing the air to flow smoothly. also because your cars resonating fq isnt going to help the box at all.

i had to do a lot of trial and error with the ports on my box. and well you know how it sounds.

yeah but the ones that arent peaky do they get as loud on the same amount of power as ones that are tuned to be? also I dont think i could get a good 4th order in my trunk for 2 12s. i dont think....

yeah probably not. since that single 15 blowed. but my system is pretty solid all around. it was extremely peaky at first then i just brought the tuning down and had some more port area and just a little bit of tweaking and it just brough the peak down but still pushing the same loudness

  3. ive had a guy actually sprint out in front of my truck when he was jogging. crosswalk on a bend on a road thats a 50mph speed limit.

a pedestrian is supposed to be cautious as well. just because there is a cross walk doesnt mean you run out into traffic.

i nearly hit the guy. and broke some soundsystem equipment that i was transporting in the process.

  4. They are just different loudness levels of the tone for the most part.

the -5db tone will give you more sound quality, and will result in the best sound quality from your setup, but wont get as loud.

the -15db tone will give you more loudness (more spl, less sq).

the -10db tone will be a mix between -5 and -15 db. Giving you more sq than -15, but more power than 0-5.

If your running a lower model subwoofer with an amp more then the woofer(s) combined rms power, -5db is a wise idea!

awesome. i figured something along those lines.

i have two level 3's on a bc 2k so not quite a lower line but it gets down really well. im proud of them. waiting for the new level 3's to come out so i can buy 15's and finish my truck lol

and i did notice a big sq jump between the -5 and the -10.

  5. i have an auidobahn ah275.

not a super spectacular amp. and too flashy for me.

but however it did rated power and has been through alot.

still trucking today and being used as a temporary amp on a sa12. its laughing at the power but its better than nothing at all.

anyways. my experience with that amp is a plus. im glad ive had it and its reliable.

    but id go elsewhere overall.

    just my .02

  6. we need a like button here -_-

i wanna like that p.s. part

Lol being a gold member i can + or - comments in threads FTW! So I gave ya a plus! LOL

I can't comment on what the dd-1 has since i don't currently own one, Something that was recorded with -15db is a far cry from something recorded at -3db and that was what i was trying to get across

Hence why I am saying the tone disc included with the dd-1 has multiple tones for your music listening needs.. From 0db, -3db, etc to -15db iirc from reading the book the other night.

Besides test tones are a dime a dozen. you can find many of them at all different decibel level on just about every audio site.

i just used the dd1 today at my local shop.

first we set the gains using the -10 because i like the low low music and wanted to get as much power as i could.

but my subs started to stink. not due to clipping just simply being over powered.

so we set gains with the -5.

but i fully do not understand the difference between the two. can someone explain?

  7. im pretty sure i figured it out.. i took the rcas from the back of the HU and plugged up to the subs amp and completely left out the 4 channel and the noise went away and it was playing the radio bass. not loud or anything.

then when i plugged it up to the 4 channel the noise came back

  8. Lol that the stupid Kyle busch toyota commercial came on as I was readin this.

But it thinks it's stupid that he is just brushing it off when he could have seriously injured or killed hornaday over virtually nothing and has to be a baby. Good thing they got all that safety shit in the cars.

yeah " I just lost my cool" when hornaday hit the wall head on at 130mph.

if you watch the ass end of hornaday's truck was jumping into the turn when they first hit the wall. that bump was accidental. pushing and all that happens all the time but kyle just was being a little bitch

i hate how much of a douche kyle sounds like.

seems like once you get in the pros its not about the game anymore. just the money and fame

heres the article if the video doesnt show up
    http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/blog/from_the_marbles/post/Kyle-Busch-suspended-for-Cup-race-for-actions-in?urn=nascar-wp5125

Kyle Busch has beeen parked for Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race and Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway after intentionally crashing Ron Hornaday in Friday night's Camping World Truck Series race.
"[busch being parked for Friday night's race is] done under section 9.12 of the rulebook, that gives NASCAR the authority to react during a race weekend. And following the event and after a good deal of conversation and discussion, NASCAR has decided to maintain that parked position on the driver of the 18 truck for the balance of the weekend," NASCAR president Mike Helton said Saturday morning.
"So basically what that means is that Kyle Busch will not be participating today or tomorrow in the NASCAR event here in Texas."

Joe Gibbs, Busch's team owner in the Cup and Nationwide Series, was at home in North Carolina and not at the track Friday night. He flew to Texas Saturday morning and met with NASCAR officials and Busch. Gibbs said he "trusts" NASCAR's decision. He would not divulge what he told Busch in their 1-on-1 meeting, but did say they "needed to get out here and meet with everybody we needed to meet with." In other words, Busch, who was not kicked out of the track, needs to make the rounds to apologize.
Busch's suspension is the first for a driver after the "Boys have at it" declaration from NASCAR — a statement that's been pointed to numerous times over the past two years when it comes to driver discipline.
"The responsibility that over the past two or three seasons we've given back to the drivers came, I think, with a very clear understanding that there could be a line that got crossed," Helton said. "And as annoying as the comments that I've made personally in the past of 'we'll know it when we see it' might have been, we saw it last night."
Michael McDowell will drive Busch's No. 18 car on Sunday.
Busch is currently in seventh place in the Chase for the Sprint Cup standings, 57 points behind points leader Carl Edwards with three races to go. Busch met with series officials before the start of Saturday morning's first practice session at Texas Motor Speedway.
