im not gonna lie i used a Jigsaw similar to that from like 20 years ago and it got so damn hot it was ridiculous. still a trooper though.
anyways build looks good!
I have a Craftsman, at least 15 years old. It gets so hot it stops working after I cut a hole for a subwoofer or two. Haha
haha mine was a craftsman as well. and that thing is stretching out that lifetime warranty. lol i have to hold it with a towel. i was cutting a double baffle 12' hole and that thing was on fire!

Audioque amplifiers are VERY strong according to a lot of people on the forum, i haven´t test them but i did try A LOT of digital designs amplifiers and they are almost the same amp
Anyways, depends on the model you buy, of course, you will need to upgrade the electrical system also , but if you go with the ssx subs, i guess i would fit them with a single AQ2200.1 , AQ3500.1 if you want to push their limits but i wouldn´t recommend that much power lol
i second that!
3500 might be a lil much lol

Yeah for sure just buy a new one. What are they 349? Thats a hell of a deal even new from them.
389 on site i believe. i just figured id check here first and find that dummy who would get rid of one

good luck finding one used... hahaaaaaa
hey a guy can dream cant he ? lol

I think I saw one in the for sale section. It might have been a 3500 actually.....
oo oo im searching. if you find it put up a link for me.
thanks.

kinda self explanitory
just lookin for a decent deal cheaper than off AQ website

From the little knowledge I know, I wouldn't recommend grounding it to a seat belt bolt. Look for part of the frame to ground it too.
ninja'd: What D-Train said lol.
-
did you use sandpaper and take away all the paint? i would recommend actually screwing it directly the body. if im not mistaken theres alot of mixed metals in the seatbelt bolts and can mess with the current. they arnt just straight steel. however i could be wrong.
-
what did you use for a ground connection?
-
check your ground. could have a crappy connection.
-
-
how did you wire the subs to your amp? you cant wire them to the two outside pos and neg terminals.
-
-
sounds like a good plan.
-
And whats a good battery to have for the amp, pretty sure the one thats in there already wont hold up to them (could be wrong) its been in there for years and years but it isnt the stock battery.
Want one thats good, but not to expensive
xs d3400 under the hood with big 3 and youll be set

dang i had my hopes up there for a second

How are you deciding the winners?
i think hes gonna do it by whose name has a D as the first letter

Hey guys... I have been pondering on this for some time and finally think i am going to go ahead and try to do a 4th order BP wall. I will be using (4) 15" DC XL's and (2) SAZ3500d's. The vehicle is a 2005 GMC Envoy. I need some guidance on how to determine the recommended air space for the sealed and ported chambers and how to calculate the port size for proper tuning. This will also be my first attempt at a wall as well. I am not rushing into this at all. I am currently in Iraq and i wont start my build until mid-late summer. I want to take this time to learn as much as possible to prepare for this.
My goal is to design a street beater tuned in low 30's and be very efficient for daily use as well as demoing at shows etc. So if anyone could give some guidance or PM me if you are willing to do up some designs for a reasonable price please hit me up. Thanks in advance.
if you want a BP to be LOW your gonna tune the ported side from 40-50 Hz just depends on how low you want it. a Good BP is a 3:1 ratio. i just built one and am building another thats way bigger. BP are pretty efficient.
basically youll figure out how much air space youll need per sub for a sealed box and just multiply that by 3. like my box is .75 per sub on the sealed side and running 2.25cubes per sub on the ported side. theres more to say but i guess thats a basic understanding of where to start off. im pretty new to BP as well, so im sure others will either have more to add to this or correct me.
