  1. LOL, sadly yes. :)

If you're looking at hitting all four doors, roof, and rear wall (not sure if you want to do the floor), I'd shoot for 20-40 sq. ft. of material.

Going with our products and with that much power I would opt for a pack of Alpha Damp for the roof and the back wall and hit the doors with some Damp or Damp Pro (depending on budget). 13-20 sq. ft. for the doors would be more than enough.

Rattles can be dealt with by using a bit of closed cell foam.

Wont break the bank and if you catch one of our sales, you'll be golden.

lol. its a full wall so i dont think ill have any issue with the back half doors. they dont make any noise atm.

i know the roof is going to get bad and the back is goin to just get worse lol.

so alpha damp for the roof and damp for the front doors?

this is what the back wall looks like now. but i planned on filling it with great stuff.

  2. There are two. The C1100.4 and the 1000C4. I think that's what OP means.

is the 1100.4 out yet? i dont think either of them are shipping right now

    they are not out yet.

the 1600.2 are taking pre orders i believe. but i know they start shipping the new pro audio mids soon.

so it shouldnt be too long

  3. Run whatever size battery will fit your stock location up front and then 4 D3100s in the rear. I think I remember you saying that you have a 270a alt, so 4 3100s should be sufficient to keep your voltage solid.

    haha yeah i know

just trying to see if i can save some money!

Yeah, no way to save money on electrical when running that much power. You can do enough to get by but if you want to be able to play it and keep your voltage solid there is no cheap way to do it.

yeah im definitely not skimping out on it. just trying to weigh my options before i dump a grand on batteries

  4. I am always thinking of different designs for boxes. And i am thinking i might want more port area than this ported box im about to run now. And i like 4th orders. Everyone i know that has one loves them and they work really well. I had a 15 in a 4th order in my trunk before and loved it. other than the port placement. Now i have 2 lvl 4 12s and im thinking about doing a 4th order for them in my trunk. My idea is to make 3 different boxes 2 sealed for the sealed sections for each sub and 1 common ported box for the ported section of the 4th order. Each sealed chamber would be on each side behind the rear wheel well and the ported section would run down the middle of them with a partial internal/external port.

My questions are, whats the best ratios for 4th orders and whats a good tuning frequency for low response? And what a good large port area size? I was thinking close to 20sq inches per cube.

Has anyone done 2 12s in a 4th order in a trunk before?

I would have some measurements to work with but im outa town and my car is back home. :/

Any input or ideas will be great. Especially from ppl who have done a similar set up before.

2:1 ratio will give you a broad curve.

20 per is going to be groundpounder so dont expect big numbers. but itll help get down on the lows. and move air.

tuning thats low for 4th orders is down in the low 40's

wade my box in the truck is tuned to 46

  5. With your electrical i would run one amp.. I ran an aq3500.1 With 425a alt and 3g31 batts an i had a decent amount of drop.. Mid 13s But was wired at .5

i cant run a single amp. ill have d1's and im not doing .25 ohm lol.

and wiring up is not an option for me

2 bc 2ks strapped will be good.

i already have one so thats why im just buying another for now
