yeah just try to get the wood cut somewhere and just follow what they said.I just built my first box i LEARNED THAT IS NOT EASY.i gotta give props to the people that do this like nothing.but its well worth it when you do.

thanks beans ........ i envy most of the guys on this forum for the patience they have when it comes to things like this. im def going to go for it , ive got my glue , screws, and power drill .. ......... ill probably pick up the .75 mdf in a few. even if i accidently build a birdhouse instead of a ported box , i can at least have on my jacket that i tried and charge it as a learning experience.

get the designs then have home depot cut the wood. then all you need is some clamps, glue, screws and power tools

Build your own. Some of the members do box designs. Read their sigs to see if they do box designs.

props on the advice .......gotta turn sigs on real quick. i doubt ill be building my own though. i got a few members in mind that i may hit up. if they provide the wood measurements , then i can probably give it to the guy that built my sealed enclosure. thanks chevy

well shit on me .............. the box was too damn LONG . . . . he told me it was 43 (which was exact for my trunk) ..................... i get to new orleans to pick it up ...........but it turns out to be 48 inches . . . . .which made it impossible to even fit in my damn car. he gave me a free pair of tweeters for the inconvenience http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/sty...icons/icon2.gif

we both have the same JL w7 woofers but he wants to sell his box (which is in a yukon) and i will be putting it in the trunk of my monte.
