thanks beans ........ i envy most of the guys on this forum for the patience they have when it comes to things like this. im def going to go for it , ive got my glue , screws, and power drill .. ......... ill probably pick up the .75 mdf in a few. even if i accidently build a birdhouse instead of a ported box , i can at least have on my jacket that i tried and charge it as a learning experience.

props on the advice .......gotta turn sigs on real quick. i doubt ill be building my own though. i got a few members in mind that i may hit up. if they provide the wood measurements , then i can probably give it to the guy that built my sealed enclosure. thanks chevy

well shit on me .............. the box was too damn LONG . . . . he told me it was 43 (which was exact for my trunk) ..................... i get to new orleans to pick it up ...........but it turns out to be 48 inches . . . . .which made it impossible to even fit in my damn car. he gave me a free pair of tweeters for the inconvenience http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/sty...icons/icon2.gif well im back on the prowl for a ported box. guess i have to get one custom made somewhere.......... thats the best move anyway.

is this ok to do? or is it an absolute NO NO!!!!? we both have the same JL w7 woofers but he wants to sell his box (which is in a yukon) and i will be putting it in the trunk of my monte. lemme know what yall think i know it will fit becasue we measured it but will it still pound hard like it did in his suv? thanks 4 ur help guys

aw man ........ me too ...... i loved those subs. had them sealed too.
