  1. Whats the power handling of the speakers, and what the output of the amp? Its cool about the post, good things come to those who wait.

    The speaks specs =

    power range 25-100 watts RMS

    peak power handling 400 watts

    sensitivity 90 dB

    Amp 150++ RMS

But, was not turned up to high. (I thought)

The new eminem cd was louder than most. Should have set gains with DMM.

Also, them coils were hot to the touch.

    And again thanks everyone.

  2. Sorry, to sound like I had my panties in a bunch. :zorro: Was just trying to bump it up, next time will just say bump. was hoping for quick, before i put the stuff back in the basement.

    Again sorry, and thanks.

The plastic usta be clear like the big coils.

  3. OK here is the deal. I had replaced my infinity kappa perfects with kappas because, I thought a mid-bass was blown.

Well tonight for the 1st time, I checked the ohms with a DMM, 3.5 on both mid-basses. I also checked the tweets 3.2 on both.

I am wondering, if smoked xovers could have made my mid-bass sound blown?

I know the xovers got hott! The plastic the copper is wound on partially melted. Could only the xover be bad, is there a way to test with a DMM?

Also, if anyone else owns a set of these kappa perfects 6.5" ,if the would put a DMM on them and give me a reading of the ohms on tweets and mid-bass.

Thanks and sorry for sounding like a dumb ass, please be kind.

PS The mid-basses do not smell blown.

  4. I picked up 2 sets of the kappa component's for like $130 a set on ebay, for front stage. So far, I only have one set installed (want to glass the doors) I love them! I also have a PDX 4.150 for my highs (turned way down, it murdered my perfects lol) Again, I have to say sound great, and is efficient because its a class D amp.

  5. There is no "ONE" better then the other one in this case. how can you possibly say what you did, what do you have to back that theory of yours up with? Im not an Intel lover, nor AMD lover, so dont call me a fan boy, but what fish listed is a decent combo of parts for what HE IS LOOKING TO DO WITH IT.

In NOT A CERTIFIED TECH, and I can tell you that, being that YOUR CERTIFIED, you should have atleast told him to go with XP Pro64. As XP PRO wont utilize past 3.25GB (or just round off to 4gb to make it easy) XP was/is/will always be a solid OS, however Win7 is a vast upgrade from Vista too, so dont leave that out. I may not be a CERTIFIED tech (Not that it matters) but I have been in several states here in the US attending OCing parties or whathave-you, doing several comps, attempting to breaking world records for ocing E6600, FX55, FX55san-diego, FX57, P4 3.73XE, P4 2.4NW, Q6600, and a few more, so I hope no one doubts what knowledge I have. I dont think I need to be CERTIFIED lol........

Sorry, I have had a few Heinekens. I figured he was smart enough to get the 64 in vista, would do the same for xp. I havent played win7 too much (had the beta for a min). And my certs are just some CompTIAs (easy to get) I am working on a few Cisco Certs! And, I never doubt anybodys knowledge.

I was just trying to get out the fact that vista is garbage, and thats why they have win7 coming replace so soon.
