So i pretty much just got the seats out and measured the distance of which the woods going to have to be cut, its messy yea i know owell, personally isnt bothering me just yet, but thats the progress i made for today it was ridiculously hot outside and since i have finals this week at school i am going to be trying to balance everything.

So i posted some pics of the new box i got for free and decided i was going to do a half wall with it, ha yea not to much thought has gone into this at all just kinda going to go with it and hope that it all works out ha, plan is to take the box build a false floor get it on bolt it down, see how it sounds than eventually build some baffle to go over that so air doesnt escape, im new to car audio only been into for about a year but the box is for 1 15 but i amgoing to cut it to do 1 18 and its tuned around 30 hz, i have a elemental design 19av2 that i got for a 100 bucks, the box for free and 6 sheets of 3/4" mdf i also got for free im looking for an amp as we speak and eventually a better 18 but for now im 100 bucks into it haha. owell just having some fun. will start getting pics of the gut, and everything else in the slowvo thanks for looking everyone

its a 99 as well ha, idk the more and more i look at it and study other peoples builds i think port in back firing up would be the best unless you can find someone else who has done a single 18 in the trunk of a protege ha

yess i am ha well was for a little bit i have converted back to my volvo forums ha i am more than likely going to flip my protege and sell it i got an off for 1000 more than i payed so why not? ha. unless i just put the o2 sensor in it tht it needs and tint it the fuck out ha, but im not sure i love my volvo i dont know if i can part with it. i have a buddy form youtube helping me plan a box for the volvo so if it can be a universal than i will more than likely also try puttin it in the protege as well but the protege needs new door speakers the stocks are horriable ha, i saw the template thread on there for the 5.25" tht was pretty nice

the ed is 650-1100rms so the site says, and the cadence is 1000rms but i had 1800 to it for a good week before my buddy wanted his amp back and it took ti got a weebit warm here and there but is perfect now

i really dont know ill measure it though and, two ED19av2 or the cadence? ha. if so on the ED have u had them reconed? if not whats kinda power r u throwing to them, ohm wired at, rms ur giving them? box cf tune? if u ahd it reconed who did u go to what did they charge did u have them upgraded?

hey everyone i ended up selling the protege and keeping ym volvo so th ebox is going to be for tht car now. i tooka picture of a the trunk and put what thedimensions are in the pic since explaining how the trunk is is kinda hard. there are two pockets on the side and thts what the lines in the pic are refering to. any help would be the shit. i have the cadence ZRS 12 and the 18 id like to put the 18 in but if somone can help me plan a loud ass box for the cadence i will take that as well thank u

well the plan is to have the sub firing up the port towards the back and it be around 15" tall to leave room for the excursion and shit and have ti be longer and a little wider

So i got a killer deal on a 18" elemental designs sub i couldnt pass it up so i did yard work all last week and this weekend to get the money for it and well....now for the fun part a box. i looked up on there site the have 3.5cf at 30hz and the DDloud or something like tht at 3.5cf at 35hz i do not know what tht means, double loud? i dont know ha but since all i know how to do is wire up systems and hook them up and everything ima need some help making a box maybe some designs since i dont know a thing about making boxes is there there a way to do 3.5cf and to tune tht to either 30 or 35hz which ever will be louder. if anyone can help a comment here or a PM would be fuckn amazing! i want to join the big boys with the 18 ha. If you know how to design good boxes i dont mind taking my sweetass time to make sure every cut is right and everything is sealed and possiably fiberglassed so its solid. the new toy:)

hmm ha seems like it will work either tht or i can buy a elemental design 19av2 for 100 bucks and have some real fun, sub firing up with a decent sized box in the trunk and after schooling is payed off get another one for awall since i always wanted to do one

If anyone can make me up some plans for the following heights and lengths tht would be awsome and get me a tune of 35hz since i have no idea how tot une the box since i heard RE box dimensions is off....

heigh 17" width 35" and i can go as deep as 20" but would like to stay less than tht more around 15-18

honestly man, its personal preference ur doing this for u and ur friend not to satisfy anyone else on here. no offense to anyone on here, so if u want ot be unque and on a budget do it, its gunna be nasty, personal preference is always guna come out ahead ha. id do it if i had the money go with what u feel comfortable doing as well
